Andrew Garfield Says He Wasn't Asked To Be In Upcoming 'Spider-Man' Film

Andrew Garfield is opening up about the rumors that he will reprise his Spider-Man role for the upcoming third Tom Holland-led film!

The 37-year-old actor played the character in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Now, Andrew is saying that he actually won’t be in Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home.

“There isn’t anything to ruin! It’s so crazy. It’s f–king hilarious to me,” he said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “I see how often Spider-Man is trending and people freaking out about a thing, and I’m just like, ‘Guys… Guys, guys, guys. I recommend that you chill.’ I can’t speak to anything except for myself… I ain’t got a call.”

“I did not get a call,” Andrew added. “Listen, I would’ve gotten a call by now. That’s all I’m saying. I don’t want to ruin anything [potentially happening] … maybe they’re going to call me and say, ‘Hey people want this.’ Maybe they’re doing some market research.”

If you remember, Tom also recently shut down the rumors that Andrew, and even Tobey Maguire, will not be in the movie… as far as he knows!

There are a lot of rumors on which past Spider-Man characters and actors will be returning for “the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever,” as Tom says. We do have confirmation that this character will be back for sure.

This could all just be a ruse so they don’t get in trouble for leaking the big surprise. We’ll just have to wait until closer to the release date to find out!
