'This Is Us' To End After the Next Sixth Season

The hit NBC series This Is Us will be coming to an end…

It was just announced that the drama show will have one more season, bringing it to a total of six.

According to THR, creator Dan Fogelman had always planned to end the show after six seasons.

“We never set out to make a television series that was going to last 18 seasons, so we have a very direct plan. I have script pages I have written and I’m writing that really are deep, deep, deep into the future. We have a plan for what we’re going to do, and I know what the plan is,” Dan told the THR back in 2019.

Though the show focuses a bit more on the adult characters, it also boasts a super talented cast of young stars who have literally been growing up on our screens: Lonnie Chavis, Niles Fitch, Faithe Herman, Eris Baker, Lyric Ross, Parker Bates, Hannah Zeile, Asantee Black, Mackenzie Hancsicsak and Logan Shroyer.

This Is Us is currently airing season five on NBC on Tuesday nights, and the final season will be a part of the 2021/2022 season.
