OlderChloe Bailey Goes Solo On 'Feeling Good' Cover For 'Music For The Movement Vol 3'
Chloe Bailey has released a brand new song “Feeling Good“!
The 22-year-old one half of Chloe x Halle recorded her own version of the Nina Simone classic for the Music for the Movement Volume III – Liberated EP that was just released on Friday (June 18).
The new music is “one of four EPs Disney Music Group and ESPN’s The Undefeated are releasing to pay their support of Black lives, culture, and social justice initiatives,” via People.
A portion of proceeds from the EP will go towards scholarships to help students in historically Black colleges and universities.
In addition, Chloe will mark her first solo performance of the song on the Juneteenth: Together We Triumph special, airing TONIGHT (June 18) at 9:01pm ET/PT on ABC.
This all comes the day before Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery, and is regularly observed with celebrations of African-American culture. The June 19th holiday was also just made a federal holiday – Juneteenth National Independence Day – by President Joe Biden, the first federal holiday established since Martin Luther King Jr Day in 1983.
