'Julie & The Phantoms' Becomes Emmy Award-Winning Series!

It’s official – Julie and the Phantoms is an Emmy award-winning Netflix series!

The fan favorite series just picked up a few 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday (June 25).

Find out what they won inside…

The Netflix show was nominated in six categories – Outstanding Original Song, Outstanding Casting, Outstanding Costume Design/Styling, Outstanding Hairstyling and Outstanding Makeup – and they won three out of the five!

Most notably, JATP picked up the Outstanding Original Song award, where they had three songs in contention. “Unsaid Emily,” sung by Charlie Gillespie, a very emotional song about his character’s mother, was the big winner.

Other categories they won in were Outstanding Costume Design for a Drama or Daytime Fiction Program and Outstanding Multiple Camera Editing. Congratulations to the cast and crew!

If you missed it, these aren’t the only awards the show has picked up. Julie and the Phantoms also won an MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Musical Performance for “Edge of Great,” as well as the Just Jared Jr Fan Award for Favorite New Series – both were fan-voted awards.

Fans are still anxiously awaiting, and regularly asking Netflix to renew the show for a season two.

Fellow Netflix shows Dash & Lily and The Baby-Sitters Club also picked up awards for Outstanding Makeup and Outstanding Costume Design, respectively.
