Whitney Peak's Virtual Set Teacher Has an OG 'Gossip Girl' Name!

In her Elle magazine July 2021 digital cover feature, Whitney shared that her teacher’s name is actually the same as an original Gossip Girl character!

“I have an amazing virtual set teacher whose name, funny enough, is Nathaniel Archibald,” she told the mag. “When I was interviewing teachers, I was like, ‘I can’t not have a teacher named Nathaniel Archibald; that’s hilarious.’”

The fictional Nathaniel, or Nate, Archibald was famously played by Chace Crawford in the original series, and he even gets a shout out in one of the first episodes, according to Variety.

Whitney also dished on being an 18-year-old thrust into living in NYC, where of course the show is filmed.

“Living in New York as an 18-year-old is definitely crazy, especially at this time,” she shared. “I’m meeting people I’ve watched on TV for years, and getting to be a fly on the wall in rooms where important conversations are happening.”
