Katherine Langford woke up to some amazing news on Monday morning — a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Hannah Baker in 13 Reasons Why.

The Aussie-born actress shared a short reaction as soon as she heard on her Instagram Stories that morning, and after it settled in a bit more, shared another reaction on her Instagram feed.

“Waking up to this mornings’ incredible news after our season 2 wrap party last night…Thank you so much to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for your nomination for Best actress in a Drama Series,” she wrote. “I’m so honoured to be included alongside such an illustrious group of women and couldn’t think of a more talented and committed group of creatives, producers, cast and crew to share in this excitement with this morning!”

Katherine added, “I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to tell Hannah’s story, and I hope that this recognition can further shine a light on the life issues and struggles that we cover in the show.”

Her co-stars Ross Butler, Dylan Minnette, Anne Winters and more all sent their congrats to Katherine on the nom. Check them out below!

Nick Jonas got some pretty exciting news this morning — he was nominated for a Golden Globe award!

The singer-songwriter picked up a Best Original Song – Motion Picture nominated for “Home” from Ferdinand, co-written with Justin Tratner.

After getting some much needed shut-eye, a friend showed up at his home with a phone and “My manager was on the phone and he informed me and I think I called just about everyone I know.”

Nick told Billboard, “I looked at at my phone and saw that I missed calls from the director Carlos [Saldanha], and then I called my parents, my brothers and a bunch of other friends and of course Justin.”

“We both just screamed on the phone and were so excited.”

Katherine Langford was one of the many pleasant surprises on the 2018 Golden Globes nominations list.

The Aussie-born actress was nominated for her role as Hannah Baker in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, alongside Caitriona Balfe, Claire Foy, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Elisabeth Moss for Actress in a Television Drama Series.

“Thank you so much to the HFPA!” Katherine wrote on her Instagram stories. “So excited to be nominated alongside this illustrious group of women.”

The nomination is much deserved, after Katherine and the show were snubbed for an Emmy nomination earlier in the year.
