Aisha Dee is starring in a brand new Freeform movie!

The network announced that The Bold Type actress will star opposite Kimiko Glenn and Kendrick Sampson in Ghosting.

The flick centers on Jess (Dee), who goes on the greatest first date of her life, but inadvertently “ghosts” Ben when she tragically dies in a car accident on the way home.

Stuck on Earth, with no idea how to ascend, Jess will need the help of her best friend Kara (Glenn), the only person who can still see and hear her.

Jess is described as a young woman who lives life to the fullest, wears her heart on her sleeve, while Kara is an authority on New Age rituals and practices, but even that expertise can’t help her figure out how to help Jess ascend to the afterlife.

Ghosting will premiere during 2019′s Countdown to Christmas event on Freeform.

It’s the last day of filming on season three of The Bold Type and Katie Stevens shared a gorgeous snap of the three main girls to commemorate the day.

“Last day of season 3!” the 25-year-old actress captioned the shot, which features Aisha Dee and Meghann Fahy. “I cant believe it!”

Katie continued, “141 days of shooting, late nights, early mornings and so many memories made. It was tough at times, but this Montreal crew became our family, and these two were my rocks. I love you so much @meghannfahy @aishtray! don’t know what I would do without you! 🤞🏻 for a season 4!”

The stars of Freeform‘s The Bold Type sat down for a chat with the mag. Here’s what they shared…

Katie, on how she relates to her character, Jane: “Jane dreams big and always asks for what she wants. I like to think I’m that way as well.”

Aisha, on the most important aspect of friendship: “Honesty and a sense of humor. I can always trust my people to laugh and call me on my you know what!”

Meghann, on her character, Sutton: “She’s a people pleaser. But ultimately she’s loyal and loving.”

Katie Stevens says things are heating up in the romance department on season two of The Bold Type!

The 25-year-old actress and show’s cast – Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy and Melora Hardin – stepped out for the Monte Carlo TV Festival on Saturday (June 16) in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.

Katie recently spilled on her character Jane’s love life and it looks like she’ll be getting not one, but two chances at love!

“She writes a story about this doctor who specializes in low-income patients and women…You’ll see them sort of build a romance,” Katie told Bustle.

She added, “You’ll also see Pinstripe come back, and you’ll see them try to cultivate a friendship, but they have undeniable chemistry, and how will that work?”

We can’t wait to see!

The Bold Type is getting musical this season!

While promoting season two, cast members Katie Stevens, Meghann Fahy, and Aisha Dee revealed that their characters will be showing off their singing skills in an upcoming episode in season two.

The ladies weren’t able to give away too many spoilers about the upcoming episode but did reveal that the majority of the cast actually features really good singers – and now we’re hoping for full on musical episode in season three!

New episodes of The Bold Type air on Tuesday nights on Freeform at 9/8c.

Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee and Meghann Fahy hold up mock versions of Scarlet during their appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday (June 12) in New York City.

The three ladies are hyping up the two-hour premiere of The Bold Type on Freeform tonight.

“I kind of compare it to dating. You date so you can learn what you like and what you don’t like, so when you find what’s right, you’re able to recognize that,” Katie recently shared with ET about how season two is going to work as Jane is at another mag than Kat and Sutton.

She adds, “She loves Scarlet and had a wonderful experience there; now she goes to Incite and doesn’t have a great experience. She’s learning that not all bosses are as wonderful as Jacqueline, and some people will twist the truth and be dishonest. It’s taking her [having] to go on this journey and really fail at Incite and have to pick up those pieces to realize what she’s really meant to do and where she’s meant to be.”

As far as seeing the trio together on screen – it’s going to be all outside of work.

“You’re going to see them out of the office and going out together and all of that fun stuff,” Katie says. “Season one was a lot of stuff at Scarlet, but it’s nice to see these girls outside of the office in their regular life element.”

New showrunner Amanda Lasher chatted with TV Line about the upcoming season and just where our faves, Jane, Kat and Sutton are when the show premieres on Freeform.

“I came on as a fan of the show,” she shared. “I enjoyed the way the girls supported each other, the way they found a balance to tackle social issues, but also do it in a way that was fun…I loved Jacqueline as this mentor who’s really aspirational and positive.”

Amanda added, “I wanted to continue the DNA of the show, because I felt like it was so great, but I also wanted to go deeper into who these characters were and where they came from and their backstories, and understanding who they are on a deeper level.”

So where are Kat, Sutton and Jane? Find out:

• Jane (Katie Stevens): Her new job at Incite isn’t what she thought it was going to be. “Jane has only had this Scarlet experience, which [was] super supportive and nurturing, and now all of sudden, she’s in a very different world that does not have the same values that Scarlet does.”
• Kat (Aisha Dee): Big life changes are ahead for her, as she continues her relationship with Adena. “It’s the first time that she’s in love, it’s the first time that she’s in a relationship, and she’s also dealing with exploring her sexuality for the first time. So she’s dealing with a lot of firsts that she’s never had to contend with before.”
• Sutton (Meghann Fahy): The fashion maven’s career is continuing to go up, however, she’s finding it challenging because she doesn’t come from a “place of privilege, and you don’t have the same connections, and what it’s like to compete when it’s not a level playing field.”
