“Okay Okay” is the third to be released, following “Rooting For You” and “Ready,” from the 23-year-old Grammy-winning singer’s upcoming EP This Summer, which she will be releasing on September 6th.
“I put myself almost in a satirical place of what would I say if I thought I was the coolest thing on earth,” Alessia said about the song on the Zach Sang Show. “The song is super sarcastic, but also it’s my way of trying to convince myself that I’m really cool and the best. It’s definitely not a serious song, it’s a fun one. It’s probably the most light song I’ve ever made.”
“Okay Okay” is also available to stream on Spotify and download on iTunes now.

Alessia Cara stops by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to chat up her new music and EP, which will be out at the beginning of next month.
On top of playing the Wheel of Impressions, the 23-year-old singer explained how her new song, “Rooting for You”, is almost like watching a movie in real time.
“It’s kind of like…it’s a similiar situation that we all go through where we are having a friendship or relationship, or whatever. You think it’s going great and then it takes a turn,” she explains.
Alessia continues, “It’s like watching a movie and you see the protagonist go the wrong way and you’re instantly like, ‘Dude, no. I was rooting for you. Why’d you got to go and do that?’”

Justin jokingly responded to the post in the comments, writing, “Hmm…Gonna have to break a few more records to dethrone my title there bud (canadian voice)..but if you want we can play hockey for it but i heard your [sic] a real bender on the ice we could just drop the buckets and tilt for it.â€
Shawn saw the comment and wrote back, accepting Justin‘s terms.
“LOL any time any day you just let me know,” he wrote.
Justin also calmed fans down by responding to his own reply: “There is no competition and it was a playful joke people relax.. there’s no sides we’re all just here to make dope music. I’m just [as] competitive as he is … so it was just a little playful jargon.â€
