The trailer for This Is The Year was just released!

The upcoming “feel good movie of the year” was executive produced by Selena Gomez and marks David Henrie‘s directorial debut.

Here’s a synopsis: In a last ditch effort to win over the girl of his dreams, a nerdy high school senior (Lorenzo Henrie) and his best friends embark on a road trip to see their favorite band at the biggest music festival of the year. On their journey, they realize that elaborate plans never go off without a hitch, and that you can find true love in the most unexpected places.

This Is The Year also stars Vanessa Marano, Jake Short, Alyssa Jirrels, Gregg Sulkin, Jeff Garlin, David Henrie, Bug Hall, Kate Katzman, Gregg Christee, Big Joe Henry and Laura Marano.

Alyssa Jirrels is taking over the role of Zoey in This Is The Year, JustJaredJr.com can exclusively reveal.

The 17-year-old actress will replace Madison Iseman in the movie, which kicks off filming this week.

A coming-of-age comedy, This Is The Year centers on Josh (Lorenzo Henrie), a nebbishy high schooler who makes a last-ditch effort to win over the girl of his dreams by embarking on a road trip to attend the greatest music festival of the year, only to discover true love in the most unexpected place.

You might recognize Alyssa from Disney XD’s MECH X-4, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and FOX’s The Mick. She’s represented by Osbrink Talent Agency and Mills Kaplan Ent.
