The After movie series is getting even bigger!
It was just revealed that Castille Landon will be writing and directing an addition two more movies for the franchise, Teen Vogue exclusively revealed.

Josephine Langford is opening up about the giant fan base for her hit movie series, After!
The 23-year-old actress, who stars in the franchise as Tessa Young, recently dished on the franchise’s following, and credits it to the author of the book series, Anna Todd.
“She’s the one who wrote these books and really drove this huge amount of attention to them,” Josephine told TooFab. “There’s probably a lot of different things, but the story pulls you in because it’s just a rollercoaster and you don’t know what’s going to happen next. And then when you’re reading a book or watching a film, you go, ‘Oh, okay, everything’s fine now.’ And [then] there’s something else happens. So I think I would probably attribute it to just the story, and the ebbs and flows of it.”
“I also think sometimes there’s just something about things which people love and you don’t know what that X-factor is,” she added.
Josephine also dished on wrapping the final movie, After Ever Happy, which was filmed back to back with the upcoming third film, After We Fell.
It’s always funny finishing a movie because there’s never really this big last day with all the cast where it ends,” she shared. “It’s always like people are wrapping … [there's a] three, four, five-week-long process when cast members are like dropping off.”
“It was really bittersweet because obviously, it was sad finishing it,” Josephine said. “It doesn’t really feel like it’s over of it yet. I haven’t accepted it. I think that’s because the film just hasn’t come out, but yeah bittersweet.”

The stars of the movie stepped out to meet fans during the opening weekend of the highly anticipated new film.
After opened this weekend and is expected to earn $7.25 million over the three-day weekend, exceeding initial expectations. The film is also doing great business overseas and is number one in Italy, Portugal, Poland, Germany, Greece, Argentina, South Africa, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, according to Deadline.
Anna Todd sits in between Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Josephine Langford while visiting the Build Series Brunch in New York City on Thursday (April 11).
The two actors and author chatted about After, which hits theaters on Friday, April 12th.
“I’d say I’m similar to my character in obviously a bunch of ways,” Hero shared on the program. “I wouldn’t say cynical but we both have realistic views. He [Hardin] is definitely more so. For differences, he’s a lot more implusive.”

Josephine Langford could’ve been cast as an entirely different character in her new movie After.
Author Anna Todd opened up about the recasting that happened for the lead role of Tessa, and revealed that Josephine, 21, originally went out for the role of Molly.
Anna shared with IBT that she always thought Josephine was meant for the role of Tessa.
“Josephine, to be honest, the moment we saw her, even before the recasting, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s Tessa. Okay, interesting,’†she shared.
Originally, Julia Goldani Telles was set to play the lead role, before a scheduling conflict took her away from the film.
“Honestly, [the recast] went seamlessly. And Josephine, immediately, she auditioned for another role, so she already knew about the project, had already started reading the books, so she was so excited and so prepared and ready when she got to Atlanta [for filming," Anna adds. "She had her binder and everything, so it was so seamless. I literally forget that we recast [the role] sometimes, to be honest.â€

Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Josephine Langford looked so amazing at the premiere of After!
The co-stars stepped out on the red carpet at the event on Monday night (April 8) at the Grove in Los Angeles.
They were joined at the event by their cast mates Pia Mia, Dylan Arnold, Samuel Larsen, Jennifer Beals, Shane Paul Mcghie and Inanna Sarkis.
Also in attendance was author Anna Todd and director Jenny Gage.
After, based on the novel by Anna, follows a young woman who falls for a classmate with a dark secret and the two embark on a rocky relationship.

In a recent interview, Hero opened up about being prepped by Anna about just how big the After fandom was.
“I was shocked,” Hero admitted. “I must have been living under a rock…I slightly underestimated [just how big it was]. I was pleasently surprised.”
