Billie Eilish Talks Differences Between Her Last Album & Her Upcoming Album

Billie Eilish is opening up about her new album!

The 19-year-old singer recently was asked what the creative differences are between When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and her forthcoming LP.

“Honestly, everything is different. Like, we really haven’t done anything the same,” she told Vanity Fair. “We haven’t made any of it in the same place. We’ve grown so much in just the way that we create.”

“I’ve been writing so much more, and honestly, so much better than I ever have. I feel like a different person,” Billie continued. “I really couldn’t be happier with what I’ve been creating, and I couldn’t be prouder of myself than I am about what I feel that I’ve created.”

Billie also opened up about when she’s felt most vulnerable in her career.

“The week after the Grammys,” she said. “Because I had just lived through an unbelievable experience and I was filled with joy and excitement and, you know, shock and disbelief, and you know, getting complimented left and right.”

“And at the same time, the entire internet was telling me I didn’t deserve it. So it was a weird week. It was very… it was weird, but who got the Grammys? Me,” she added.

Billie Eilish Opens Up About the Internet Hating Her Body

Billie Eilish Opens Up About the Internet Hating Her Body

Warning: This post contains comments about self-harm and body image struggles.

Billie Eilish is speaking out about her relationship with her body and what other people think of her.

The 19-year-old singer opened up about the photos of her in a tank top arriving at her brother’s house last October.

“I think that the people around me were more worried about it than I was, because the reason I used to cut myself was because of my body. To be quite honest with you, I only started wearing baggy clothes because of my body,” she told Vanity Fair.

“I was really, really glad though, mainly, that I’m in this place in my life, because if that had happened three years ago, when I was in the midst of my horrible body relationship—or dancing a ton, five years ago, I wasn’t really eating. I was, like, starving myself,” Billie added. “I remember taking a pill that told me that it would make me lose weight and it only made me pee the bed—when I was 12. It’s just crazy. I can’t even believe, like I—wow. Yeah. I thought that I would be the only one dealing with my hatred for my body, but I guess the internet also hates my body. So that’s great.”

“The internet hates women,” she said.

If you missed it, last year, Billie released a video interlude from her tour where she talks about her body and the opinions others have about it.

Billie will soon release her new documentary, Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry. Watch the trailer here!

Billie Eilish Premieres New Video For 'Lo Vas A Olvidar' With Rosalía!

Billie Eilish Premieres New Video For 'Lo Vas A Olvidar' With Rosalía!

Billie Eilish and Rosalía‘s new duet “Lo Vas A Olvidar” is officially here!

The song was announced earlier in the week, along with a teaser, and now it’s been released in full, along with the music video.

“I mean, this is the longest lead up on earth. Yeah. Well, because we wrote most of the song in January of 2019. It’s been a long, long, long time,” Billie told Zane Lowe on Apple Music. “I’m so excited, but I love it. I actually think it’s so beautiful, and it’s so not something I feel like I’ve done. And she just, I think, Rosalía opened a little channel in me that I hadn’t tried out before. A lot of it is in Spanish, which I think is so important.”

“I remember when we were writing the song, I remember her saying something about, ‘It should be in English.’ And I was like, ‘No, no, no. It should be in Spanish. It’s so beautiful.’ And I’ve always loved music that isn’t in English,” she continued. “I like tons of music from languages I don’t even speak. I’ve always found a real … I’ve been really intrigued by it pretty much my whole life. There’s so many Russian songs I like, and Spanish, and French, and… So that was the biggest thing for this one. And she told me what the lyrics mean, and then it just meant even more, because I was like, ‘That’s beautiful, and the delivery is beautiful, and the emotion is beautiful.’ And it was really fun.”

“Lo Vas A Olvidar” was featured in the trailer for the second special episode of Euphoria, and it will be featured in the episode, which premieres on HBO Max for early streaming on Friday (January 22) at 9pm ET, then it will premiere on HBO on Sunday (January 24), also at 9pm ET.
