Dove Cameron is extremely proud of Kenny Ortega!

The 23-year-old actress paid tribute to the Descendants director in a series of Instagram posts in honor of his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Thursday (July 25).

“Such an unbelievable honor and deep pleasure to be present on a day like this. so long overdue. so well deserved. with my favorite guy and so many people that i love. my heart overflows ⭐️,” Dove in her first post from the ceremony.

In a second post, with a photo of her looking lovingly at Kenny, Dove wrote, “I love you @kennyortegablog. i’d say you’re a legend, and you’re my teacher, and one of my main inspirations in my life, but you already know all of that. congratulations for this massive recognition. you are my shooting star 💫.”

Dove even shared a short video clip of her and her Descendants co-star Booboo Stewart at the ceremony.

Kenny Ortega is surrounded by stars of Descendants, Hocus Pocus and High School Musical during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Wednesday afternoon (July 24) in Hollywood.

The choreographer and director got support at his ceremony from Descendants stars Dove Cameron, Mitchell Hope, Booboo Stewart, Zachary Gibson and Kathy Najimy as well as HSM‘s Monique Coleman at the ceremony. Descendants costume designer Kara Saun was also in attendance.

Cameron Boyce‘s father, Victor and sister Maya, were also in attendance at the event.

“Sitting here today with us is my buddy — Cameron Boyce’s dad, Victor — and his sister, Maya. Cameron Boyce was so excited for me and wanted to be here…” Kenny shared in his speech at the ceremony. “His all too brief appearance in this life inspired me beyond words [as well as] many of us here and generations of kids and families all over this world. His extraordinary talent and loving heart will be remembered through his foundation.”

He added, “Cameron said, ‘We can’t take it with us, so it’s about what you leave,’ and with this, I promise Cameron that I will carry this goodness with me in all the days of my life.”

A ton of new pics for Descendants 3 were just released ahead of the movie’s debut on Disney Channel.

The pics feature the core four – Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart and the late Cameron Boyce, plus Mitchell Hope, China Anne McClain, Thomas Doherty, and franchise newcomers Cheyenne Jackson and Jadah Marie.

If you missed it, Disney Channel will be honoring Cameron with the new movie, dedicating the premiere broadcast in his honor.

In addition, the network is also making “a donation to the Thirst Project, a philanthropic organization to which Cameron was deeply committed.”

Descendants 3 will premiere on August 2nd on Disney Channel.

Some of the stars of Descendants 3 are taking their new song “Good To Be Bad” on the road in CARscendants!

Dove Cameron, Booboo Stewart, Sarah Jeffery, and Cameron Boyce get in the car together, taking turns behind the wheel, and singing along to the tune from the third movie.

The cast looked to have so much fun filming this little segment, and even had a special guest pop on a video call – Sofia Carson!

The Ardys are airing RIGHT NOW on Disney Channel and in DisneyNOW, with a simulcast on Radio Disney.

Booboo Stewart was dropping all the secrets over the weekend at Disney Channel’s Fan Fest about Descendants‘ Jay – and that includes the biggest secret of all that he almost didn’t play Jay, the son of Jafar, at all!

During the event, he revealed to Access Hollywood that he was original considered for the role of Ben, which is played by Mitchell Hope.

“It’s crazy, right?” he told the outlet. We couldn’t see him as anyone else but Jay now.

Booboo also opened up about Jay’s arc in the third film, which premieres in August.

“Jay lets his guard down a bit in this movie,” he shared. “He’s always been trying to be the tough guy for everyone. You know, the physical one. And he reveals a softer side, which is nice.”

We can’t wait to see the movie!

The co-stars stepped out for the event held at Disney California Adventure park on Saturday (April 27) in Anaheim, Calif.

Booboo Stewart, Cheyenne Jackson, Anna Cathcart, and Jadah Marie were all in attendance.

Disney Channel Fan Fest is a unique experience for kids, families, and more than 50 Disney Channel stars. Throughout the exciting day, thousands of kids and families enjoyed Q&A sessions and meet and greets with Disney Channel stars.
