Brec Bassinger Celebrates 'DC's Stargirl' Season 3 Renewal!

Brec Bassinger is celebrating some really big, exciting news – DC’s Stargirl will be back for a third season!!

The 21-year-old actress stars as the title character in the CW series, which has yet to premiere season two.

“STARGIRL JUST GOT RENEWED FOR A THIRD SEASON!!! I am so honored and grateful to be part of this show- and even more- a part of such a wonderful cast and crew. Thank you to every single person who has watched and supported Stargirl, we wouldn’t get to do it without y’all. AND WE GET TO DO IT AGAIN⭐️💛 Xo,” she captioned a post on Instagram.

She also confirmed that filming on season two of the show has finished.

In the first slide of her post celebrating the renewal, Brec pops a bottle of champagne in a video, celebrating the end of filming on season two. Watch below!

If you missed it, it was also recently announced that DC’s Stargirl will be back for season two in August.

Love, Victor's Michael Cimino & Brec Bassinger To Voice New Scripted Podcast!

Michael Cimino has joined the cast of an upcoming scripted podcast!

The Love, Victor actor will voice one of the lead teenaged characters in Black Box, alongside Brec Bassinger, Chosen Jacobs and Jacob Bertrand, reports Deadline.

Joel McHale is also part of the cast as a brilliant scientist whose ego and ambition spiral down a villainous path.

According to Deadline, the podcast is “described as a homage to Spielbergian ’80s adventure films,” and “will follow four unwitting teenagers who stumble upon the wreckage of a crashed time machine and are thrust into the middle of a conspiracy that threatens to unhinge time itself.”

“OOOO BABY! So excited to announce black box! It’s a awesome project where I got to work with amazing people and sound like a tween so read all about it :)” Michael wrote on Instagram.

If you missed the news, Michael‘s show Love, Victor has been picked up for a second season on Hulu, and Chosen was recently announced to star in a new Disney+ movie!

Brec Bassinger Shares Fun Fact About The Final Scene In 'DC's Stargirl' Season Finale

The season one finale of DC’s Stargirl premieres TODAY (August 10) on the DC Universe app!

Star Brec Bassinger recently opened up about the two part finale and she shared a fun little anecdote about the final scene of the season.

“I feel like there’s so much chaos, in these last two episodes in particular, with Grundy, with Shiv. Ugh. Oh my gosh,” Brec told Decider.

“Okay, this is really fun. So there’s actually a scene that was originally written in the pilot. But it didn’t make sense yet,” she continued. “It’s in this, it’s the very, very last scene of the season. It’s so beautiful. Be expecting lots of chaos, when it comes to the villain/hero stuff. But then also, when it comes to Pat and Courtney, there’s some really great [scenes].”

Brec Bassinger Shares Story After She Got Into a Car Accident This Weekend

Brec Bassinger had a scary/crazy Sunday!

The 21-year-old actress was on her way to work when she got into a car accident, and shared the whole story.

“Story time- This morning I woke up to go to my first day of work in almost a year. I was so excited and was running 30 minutes early. BOOM. I got rear ended. My sweet Dylan came to pick me up. While we waited for the police report and my car to be towed… When we went to drive away, Dylan’s car battery died,” she wrote on Instagram.

“We were then stranded on the side of the 101 for almost two hours and KING @jakeaustinwalker came to save the day. Oh sad day, the jumper cables were too short and him being the king that he is went to go find longer ones until a lovely highway worker stopped and jumped dyl’s car for free and I was only four hours late to work 😀😀😀,” Brec added.

“Moral of the story, please PLEASE be mindful when you drive, tell everyone you love them- even at the end of an argument, don’t take a single second of life for granted, and Brec rocks a black eye,” she said. “Feeling blessed that no one was hurt. Thanking God for such an awakening experience…. I had to share because today has been such a humbling day. Xo”

In the pic, the 21-year-old DC’s Stargirl actress took a selfie in front of a billboard with her face on it.

Brec Bassinger Reveals Her Favorite Stunt From 'DC's Stargirl'

Brec Bassinger is dishing on her show DC’s Stargirl!

In a recent interview, the 21-year-old and her co-stars opened up about the show’s first season.

One of the things Brec revealed was which of the stunts in the season was her favorite.

“Probably the fight sequence at the drive-in movie theatre in the very first episode. It was a lot of wire work and I was basically just being drug around… It was a blast! Plus, they actually blew up a car for that scene, which was AWESOME!” she said.

Brec has previously opened up about going through stunt training before starting filming on the new show.
