You guys, it’s the 21st Anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
While we can’t believe it’s been that long since the show premiered, we know we’ll definitely be binge-watching the series today…and we’re also giving our readers a chance to win the entire series too!
If you don’t know (but you probably do), the series, ran for seven seasons from 1997-2003, and centered on Buffy Summers, the chosen one who battled vampires, demons and other forces of darkness.

There’s a new Buffy on the small screen and she isn’t slaying vampires.
Sofia Wylie stars as Buffy Driscoll on Disney Channel’s Andi Mack and definitely isn’t afraid to speak her mind…especially when it comes to her name.
In the first episode — which you can watch right now on the Disney Channel App, Video-on-Demand, Disney.com, Disney Channel YouTube, iTunes, Amazon and Google Play — Buffy makes a little joke about being named after the famed vampire slayer, which celebrates it’s 20th Anniversary today.
So, how does Sofia actually feel about playing a Buffy?
“I love her name. I wish my real name was Buffy,” she told JJJ. “I think it’s such a cool name.”
Sofia actually started watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer after she learned of her character’s name, too. “That’s such a cool show. Anyone who gets to be named after her is pretty awesome.”
We definitely agree on that!

Get ready to discover (or start a rewatch of) Dawson’s Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer — both of the beloved series are heading to ABC Family!
The network will air reruns of both shows, which originally debuted on The CW (back when it was still WB) in the 1990s.
Beginning on Monday, June 22, fan favorite episodes will air for one week. Then, starting on June 29, both shows will air from the beginning starting with Dawson’s Creek in the 12:00pm ET/PT hour and Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the 5:00pm ET/PT hour.
