Paramount Pictures just released a teaser clip at the upcoming new film, based off of the popular book character.
Here’s a synopsis: When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple.
Darby Camp is hard at work on the upcoming Clifford the Big Red Dog movie!
The young actress, who recently starred in the HBO series Big Little Lies, was joined on set by co-stars Izaac Wang and Jack Whitehall on Sunday (August 11) in New York City.
A special effects team was seen walking behind them while wearing a giant dog costume that will be transformed into Clifford in post-production.
Darby will play Emily, “who is struggling to fit in at home and at school. She discovers a small red puppy who is destined to become her best friend. When Clifford magically undergoes one heck of a growth spurt and attracts the attention of a genetics company, Emily and her Uncle Casey (Whitehall) have to fight the forces of greed as they go on the run across New York City.”
