Not Everyone Made It To Riverdale's Graduation Episode, Showrunner Reveals

Tonight’s the night – the Riverdale gang is graduating!

The all new episode is the final one before the series jumps forward seven years. This ep was originally meant to be the season six finale.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who wrote the episode, revealed that not all of the characters made to the episode.

“Today’s a big day in #Riverdale. As excited/nervous as I was for my own high school graduation waaaay too many years ago. Somehow, this one means more. Not all of our characters survived to make it to graduation. Not all of the actors we wanted to come back were able to for various reasons (including Covid). But so grateful to everyone in this picture. And to many more who aren’t in the picture, but we’ll be seeing soon. Next stop: Seven years in the future…🚀🎢📸👀💥☠️,” he shared on Instagram, where he’s been sharing tidbits.

“All the secrets will come out; all the tears will flow,” Roberto shared the day before.

“The gang finally graduates, tonight. 🎓 a very sentimental, emotional episode for everyone who has been on this Riverdale journey with us since day 1,” Lili Reinhart shared on her social media.

“Everything changes tonight. @thecwriverdale,” KJ Apa added.

If you missed the good news, it was just announced that Riverdale has already been picked up for another season, along with many other CW shows!

Cole Sprouse Talks Crushing On Jennifer Aniston While Working on 'Friends'

Cole Sprouse is dishing on his childhood crush on Jennifer Aniston!

The 28-year-old Riverdale actor opened up on The Drew Barrymore Show about how he had a crush on the actress when they worked together on Friends, and how it affected his acting.

In case you forgot, Cole starred as Ross’ son Ben in multiple episodes from 2000-2002.

“Yeah, I did [have a crush on her]. It actually made it quite difficult to work in front of her, I must admit. I was a child, I would stammer a lot and I would forget my lines,” Cole told Drew.

“I feel like I’d maintain my composure a bit more effectively now, but it was quite difficult when I was a kid,” he continued. “And I was teased a little bit by the crew because they saw it and I would just forget and be looking at her, but then the whole world had a crush on Jennifer Aniston so.”

Cole also opened up about rebooting The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Bridgerton and more. Check it out in the video!
