Sofia Carson To Be First Celeb Guest Host On New 'Disney Hits' Radio Channel

Sofia Carson is going to be a radio host – temporarily!

The 27-year-old singer and actress is going to be the first celebrity guest host on SiriusXM’s new channel, “Disney Hits.”

Sofia will host the special “Be Our Guest 4 The Day” hour on Friday (March 26), where she will be playing and talking through her top 4 favorite Disney songs as well as her new single.

New single?! Yes, Sofia is also dropping her brand new song “Fools Gold” on the same day!

The new Disney Hits channel will “feature everyone’s all-time favorite Disney music from movies, television shows and more, all on one channel. The channel will showcase songs from classics such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Toy Story to newer favorites such as Frozen 2, Moana, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Descendants 2, and many more. Listeners can also expect special musical Disney-themed hours and celebrity guest hosts.”

Be sure to tune in to Sofia‘s segment on the Disney Hits channel on SiriusXM. It will air Friday, March 26th at the following times: 9:00 am ET, 12:00 pm ET, 3:00 pm ET and 6:00 pm ET.

Disney Moves Pixar Movie 'Luca' To Disney+, 'Cruella' & 'Black Widow' To Get Dual Releases

Disney has announced new release plans for some of it’s upcoming movies!

The entertainment company revealed today (March 23) that the upcoming Pixar film Luca is going straight to Disney+ on it’s release day, June 18th.

In addition, the live action Cruella and Marvel’s Black Widow will be released in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on the same day.

Cruella will be out on May 28th, while Black Widow will finally be out on July 9th.

“Today’s announcement reflects our focus on providing consumer choice and serving the evolving preferences of audiences. By leveraging a flexible distribution strategy in a dynamic marketplace that is beginning to recover from the global pandemic, we will continue to employ the best options to deliver The Walt Disney Company’s unparalleled storytelling to fans and families around the world,” Kareem Daniel, Chairman, Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, said in a statement.

Disney has also shifted the release dates for some other movies: Free Guy on August 13, 2021, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on September 3, 2021, The King’s Man on December 22, 2021, Deep Water on January 14, 2022 and Death on the Nile on February 11, 2022.

'Monsters At Work' Reveals First Look at New Characters, Mindy Kaling Joins The Cast

The first look at the new characters for the Monsters, Inc series Monsters At Work have been revealed!

The upcoming Disney+ series will see a slew of new characters, along with many familiar faces like Mike Wazowski and James P “Sulley” Sullivan.

Monsters At Work takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.

In addition to the first look at the new characters, it was just announced that Mindy Kaling has joined the cast as Val Little, an enthusiastic member of the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (aka “MIFT”). Bonnie Hunt will also reprise her role as Ms. Flint, who was formerly in charge of training new Scarers at Monsters, Inc., but will now manage the department responsible for recruiting and training the funniest monsters to become Jokesters.

Other new voice additions include Ben Feldman as Tylor Tuskmon, Henry Winkler as Fritz, the scatterbrained boss; Lucas Neff as Duncan, an opportunistic plumber; and Alanna Ubach as Cutter, the officious rule follower.

Returning voices include Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski, John Goodman as Sulley, John Ratzenberger as Yeti and Tylor’s dad, Bernard, Jennifer Tilly as Celia Mae and Bob Peterson as Roze, twin sister to his original Monsters, Inc. character, Roz, plus Stephen Stanton as Smitty and Needleman, the bumbling custodial team at Monsters, Inc., and Aisha Tyler as Tylor’s mom, Millie Tuskmon.

Monsters At Work will premiere July 2nd on Disney+!

Emma Stone's 'Cruella' Debuts New Teaser Trailer During Grammys 2021 - Watch!

A brand new teaser for the upcoming movie Cruella premiered on Sunday evening (March 14)!

The new sneak peek features Emma Stone as the title character, as well as Emma Thompson.

The upcoming live action movie is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets.

One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman (Thompson), a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute. But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

New ‘Cruella’ Sneak Peek

Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Cynthia Erivo Added To Live Action 'Pinocchio' Cast!

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be starring in the upcoming live action Pinocchio film!

The 40-year-old actor is set to star as the lovable Jiminy Cricket in the new adaptation, Variety reports.

Also joining the cast is Cynthia Erivo, who will take on the role of the Blue Fairy, as well as Flora & UlyssesBenjamin Evan Ainsworth, who will voice the title character, Pinocchio.

Keegan-Michael Key has been cast as the voice of Honest John, and Lorraine Bracco joins as the voice of a new character, Sofia the Seagull.

These new castings join the previously announced stars Tom Hanks as Geppetto, and Luke Evans as The Coachman.

The upcoming retelling of the animated classic will be written by Robert Zemeckis and Chris Weitz, with Robert also directing.

Pinocchio is set to begin filming this month in the UK, and will debut on Disney+!

Disney/Pixar's 'Soul' Wins Both of It's Golden Globes 2021 Categories!

Soul is a big winner at the 2021 Golden Globes!!

The Disney/Pixar film picked up BOTH of the awards that it was nominated for at the ceremony on Sunday night (February 28).

Soul won the Best Animated Feature and the Best Original Score awards.

Co-director Kemp Powers only just found out that he was nominated alongside director Pete Docter and producer Dana Murray for the Best Animated Feature that morning!

“Speechless. Congrats to our entire #PixarSoul team for tonight’s Golden Globe win! And congrats to @jonbatiste @treznor #atticusross for their win for best score!” he wrote in celebration on Instagram after the wins.

Soul beat out another Disney film for the Best Animated Feature – Onward!

While announcing that the film had won the Best Original Score award, presenter Tracy Morgan had a little slip-up and said “Sal” instead. See more on Just Jared!

Disney & Pixar's Upcoming Film 'Luca' Announces Voice Cast, Debuts Teaser Trailer

The voice cast for Disney/Pixar’s new movie Luca has been revealed!

Starring in the title role is Jacob Tremblay as Luca Paguro, a bright and inventive 13-year-old sea monster with endless curiosity—especially when it comes to the mysterious world above the sea.

Also in the cast is Jack Dylan Grazer as Alberto Scorfano, an independent, free-spirited teenage sea monster with unbridled enthusiasm for the human world, and Emma Berman voices Giulia, an outgoing and charming adventurer who befriends Luca and Alberto.

Here’s a synopsis: Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film Luca is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface.

Maya Rudolph voices Daniela, Luca’s mother, Marco Barricelli voices Massimo, Giulia’s father, and Jim Gaffigan will voice Lorenzo, Luca’s father.
