Elsie Fisher is among the cast of the upcoming new movie My Best Friend’s Exorcism!
The 18-year-old will star alongside Cathy Ang, Amiah Miller and Rachel Ogechi Kanu in the film adaptation of the book of the same name by Grady Hendrix.
According to THR, “set in 1988, the novel centered on the relationship between Abby and Gretchen, two best friends and sophomores in high school. Their friendship is tested when an evening of skinny-dipping goes wrong, and Gretchen begins to act differently and followed by bizarre occurrences. After some investigating, Abby begins to horrifyingly suspect that her friend may be possessed by a demon force.”
Elsie will play Abby, Amiah will play Gretchen, and Cathy and Rachel will be in their friend group.
Damon Thomas will direct the pic, which began production this week. Amazon’s Prime Video will likely be the home of the horror film.

The 17-year-old Eighth Grade actress will star alongside Minari breakout actor Alan S. Kim, Deadline reveals.
The upcoming dark comedy follows “Shae (Kim), a bright nine year old boy, who befriends an eccentric teenage girl (Fisher), looking to escape her troubling life that her mother has created for her, all the while the local enforcement believe the boy might be offing his babysitters.”
John J. Budion is attached to direct, with production beginning in June.
