Disney has released two brand new, action-packed trailers for it’s upcoming film Jungle Cruise!
The new movie is of course inspired by the popular, funny ride at the Disney Parks, and one of the trailers actually features some very familiar moments from the ride.
A brand new trailer for the upcoming Jungle Cruise movie was just released!
The new video debuted on Good Morning America on Thursday morning (May 27), and gives an exciting new look at the new film, which is based off of the popular, comedic ride of the same name at Disneyland.
The best part of the Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyland is the comedy of the skippers!
When Disney announced they were doing a movie based off of the ride, many were wondering if there would still be the comedy elements – and there definitely will be.
While the movie isn’t going to completely follow the story-line of the attraction, and it will have less non-stop laughs than the ride, there will still be some of those moments. The new trailer that was just released proves just that!
Jungle Cruise takes you on a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat.
Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest.
But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.
Two fresh tracks from Mary Poppins Returns are here!
Disney dropped the original songs on Monday (November 26).
Emily Blunt‘s “The Place Where Lost Things Go” offers a sentimental ballad, while Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s “Trip a Little Light Fantastic” is a lively piece for the movie’s lamplighters, which also features Emily, Tarik Frimpong, Pixie Davies, Joel Dawson, Nathanael Saleh, and Leeries.
Emily is playing the title character in the film, and Lin-Manuel will portray Jack the lamplighter.
In Mary Poppins returns, decades after her original visit, the magical nanny returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael’s children through a difficult time in their lives.
Don’t miss it when it hits theaters on December 19, and listen to the new songs below!
