Isabella Gomez To Star In 'Head of the Class' Reboot!

Isabella Gomez is set to lead a new show called Head of the Class!

The 22-year-old One Day at a Time actress will star in the upcoming pilot, which is a reimagined from the original series, for HBO Max.

According to Deadline, the reimagined reboot will be gender-swapped and revolves around a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge — a first-time teacher, Alicia Adams (Gomez), who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life.

Alicia Adams is a whip-smart, funny, blunt high school teacher we all wish we had. A former GPA junkie, Alicia thought she had the world all figured out when she was in school. Teaching for the first time, Alicia’s is figuring out what she really wants in life.

If you missed the sad news, Isabella‘s current series One Day at a Time has been cancelled for a second time. Though, producer Sony Pictures will be shopping it around to find a third home for the show, which first premiered on Netflix, then moved to PopTV.

Isabella had a bit of a comical, optimistic reaction to the cancelation news. Check out what she said below!

Newcomer Jahzir Kadeem Bruno Stars In New HBO Max 'The Witches' Remake Trailer

The witches are coming!

Jahzir Kadeem Bruno is making his debut in the upcoming remake of The Witches.

The young actor stars as the young boy in the film, who you will actually only see for about half of the movie because he gets turned into a mouse!

The Witches is based off of the Roald Dahl novel of the same name, and tells the darkly humorous and heartwarming tale of a young orphaned boy (Bruno) who, in late 1967, goes to live with his loving Grandma (Octavia Spencer) in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis.

As the boy and his grandmother encounter some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, she wisely whisks our young hero away to an opulent seaside resort. Regrettably, they arrive at precisely the same time that the world’s Grand High Witch (Anne Hathaway) has gathered her fellow cronies from around the globe—undercover—to carry out her nefarious plans.

The Witches also stars Stanley Tucci, Kristin Chenoweth, Codie-Lei Eastick and the voice of Chris Rock.

The Warner Bros film was originally set to debut in theaters, but it will now premiere on HBO Max just in time for Halloween on October 22nd!

'PLL' Reboot 'Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin' Officially Coming To HBO Max

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has been picked up to series by HBO Max!

The reboot of the Freeform series is heading to the streaming service from Riverdale‘s Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Here’s a synopsis: Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-RAGE, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand new town, with a new generation of Little Liars.

“Coming soon to @hbomax. Secrets to die for. Sins to kill for. A new generation of little liars. Very honored and excited to be working on this, especially with #CAOS super-writer and #PLL savant @lindsaycbring. #originalsin #kiss-and-kill #coming-of-RAGE #where-is-angela-waters?? 💅🏻👠🔥💋💄💃🏻🌹🎭🎟🚑☠️,” Roberto wrote on Instagram.

“We’re such huge fans of what I. Marlene King and her iconic cast created, we knew that we had to treat the original series as #CANON and do something different. So we’re leaning into the suspense and horror in this reboot, which hopefully will honor what the fans loved about the hit series, while weaving in new, unexpected elements,” Roberto and co-executive producer/writer Lindsay Calhoon Bring said in a statement.
