Katherine McNamara steps out for the 2016 ABC Freeform Upfront held at Spring Studios on Thursday (April 7) in New York City.

The 20-year-old actress joined her Shadowhunters cast mates Emeraude Toubia, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Isaiah Mustafa, Harry Shum, Jr., and Matthew Daddario.

“Still recovering from the @shadowhunterstv episode, but I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who made this dream a reality,” Katherine wrote in a thank you letter after the season finale on Instagram.

She continued, “From @cassieclare1 who wrote this story we bring to life each week to the producers @freeform and @constantinfilm for giving the tv show a life to the casting team who put together the incredible cast, to @mcgfilm and Ed Decter for being my rock this season and entrusting me with this fierce stubborn short ginger Shadowhunter to the writers for giving us the words and the path in which to grow these characters to the crew, the designers, and the team on set for their impeccable passionate and tireless work in bringing the show to life, to the cast for taking me under their wings and being a team in this endeavor and truly becoming a family – I am inspired by you every day.”

Katherine added, “Also, a very special thank you to all of you angels who have been there with your love, art, support, and predictions since day 1. You motivate us to make this show something special and I cannot wait to continue this journey into season 2.”

The game benefitedEchoes of Hope, which is a charity that strives to inspire hope in the lives of at-risk and emancipated foster youth.

The organization assists youth in their pursuit of independence, empowerment and a post-secondary education.

Katherine McNamara shares a smile with “The Mortal Instruments” author Cassandra Clare at a book signing for her latest novel “Lady Midnight” at Barnes & Noble at the The Grove on Tuesday night (March 8) in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old actress was joined by the rest of the Shadowhunters cast including Harry Shum Jr, Isaiah Mustafa and Emeraude Toubia, who were there to support Cassandra, whose books inspired the television series.

The new novel is part of Cassandra‘s “The Dark Artifices” trilogy which is the third series in “The Shadowhunter Chronicles.”

The entire cast was extremely excited about the event, taking to social media to share photos throughout the night.

“Happy Lady Midnight launch, Shadowhunters!” Cassandra wrote on her Instagram.

The 20-year-old actress – who appears alongside co-stars Dominic Sherwood, Matthew Daddario, Emeraude Toubia, Isaiah Mustafa, and Alberto Rosende – opened up to the glossy about the show.

“Shadowhunters is a dream job for me. What draws people into this story is how relatable these characters are,” Kat said. “They are growing up, falling in love for the first time, figuring out where their place is in the world, and what that means for their other relationships. The story strikes a nice balance between fantasy and reality, that is very alluring to me as an actor.”

“From the get-go, we were running,” Matthew shared. “The second that we booked this, there was already a following and that following was so enthusiastic. So, we hit the ground running immediately. It sounds cliche, but it’s really what’s happened. It’s been a spring from start to finish. I don’t know, maybe I should have stopped to maybe look around along the way.”

The Shadowhunters actresses were joined by co-stars Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Isaiah Mustafa, Harry Shum, Jr., and Matthew Daddario — plus Pretty Little Liars‘ stars Keegan Allen and Janel Parrish.

During the event, stars were treated to live music (which Keegan tried to play along), a pancake bar (thanks to DrDancake) and more.
