Joey King Confesses To Murder In 'The Lie' Trailer - Watch Now!

Joey King gets into some hot water in the trailer for her upcoming movie The Lie!

The 21-year-old actress stars as a teenager named Kayla, who murders her best friend Brittany.

In the trailer, she confesses to her father (Peter Sarsgaard), saying, “I pushed her… I pushed her and she fell.”

Here’s a synopsis: When their teenage daughter confesses to impulsively killing her best friend, two desperate parents attempt to cover up the horrific crime, leading them into a complicated web of lies and deception.

The Lie
also stars Mireille Enos, and will premiere on Prime Video on October 6th as part of the first half of the “Welcome To Blumhouse” programming.

The trailer for the upcoming Blumhouse horror films has been released!

Featured in the trailer incude stars Joey King, Sydney Sweeney and Madison Iseman, who all star in two of the four films premiering on Prime Video in October.

Joey stars in The Lie, alongside Mireille Enos and Peter Sarsgaard. Here’s a synopsis: When their teenaged daughter confesses to impulsively killing her best friend, two desperate parents attempt to cover up the horrific crime, leading them into a complicated web of lies and deception.

Madison and Sydney star in Nocturne, along with Jacques Colimon and Ivan Shaw. Here’s a synopsis: Inside the halls of an elite arts academy, a timid music student begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate.

The Lie premieres on October 6th and Nocturne premieres on October 13th.

Joey King Is Presenting at VMAs 2020 & We Already Have Photos of Her Look!

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards might not be happening until Sunday night, but we can already show you what Joey King is wearing to the event!

The 21-year-old actress pre-taped her segment for the event and we have photos that were taken on Friday (August 28) at a studio in Los Angeles.

The MTV VMAs will be airing on Sunday night with both live and pre-taped elements, with most of the action happening in New York City.

“VMAS!!!!!!!!!!🌓🌹 (Airing on Sunday!),” Joey wrote on her Instagram account with the photos.

The list of celebs presenting at the event was announced this week!

Get ready for a horror filled October!

It was just announced on Thursday (August 13) that eight Blumhouse horror films will be premiering on Prime Video.

The first four, The Lie, Black Box, Evil Eye and Nocturne will premiere in October, with the other four, coming in 2021.

The Lie, which stars Joey King, follows two parent who must deal with the grisly aftermath when their teenage daughter confesses to killing her best friend.

Madison Iseman and Sydney Sweeney will star in Nocturne, which takes place at an elite arts academy, where a timid music student uncovers a mysterious notebook that once belonged to her recently deceased classmate.

Priyanka Chopra is producing Evil Eye, which is about a seemingly perfect romance that turns dark when a mother becomes convinced her daughter’s new boyfriend has a sinister connection to her own past. Priyanka has even recently signed a multi-million dollar first look television deal with Amazon!

Black Box is about a single father who, after losing his wife and memory in a car accident, undergoes an experimental treatment that makes him question who he really is.

Look out for The Lie and Black Box on October 6th, while Evil Eye and Nocturne will premiere on October 13th, all on Prime Video!

Joey King Shuts Down Rumors She Auditioned For Katara For Live Action 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'

Joey King is putting rumors to rest!

The 21-year-old The Kissing Booth actress took to Twitter to shut down the rumors that she was auditioning for the character Katara in the live action Avatar series for Netflix.

“I have 0 involvement in this project and didn’t know this project even existed until I logged onto twitter today and my timeline was floooded with these rumors. I do not believe a white woman should play a character of color. Not me or any white woman for that matter,” Joey wrote on her account.

Earlier that day, it was also revealed that the creators of the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender Netflix series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, have left the project.

“Many of you have been asking me for updates about the ‘Avatar’ live-action Netflix series,” Michael shared on Instagram. “I can finally tell you that I am no longer involved with the project. In June of this year, after two years of development work, Bryan Konietzko and I made the difficult decision to leave the production.”
