Lana Condor Reveals 'To All The Boys' Production Shut Down So She Could Go to the Met Gala 2019

Lana Condor shared a Met Gala fun fact from her first time last year!

The 22-year-old actress was actually in the middle of filming the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel when she attended the 2019 fashion event.

Lana took to her Instagram story, on what would have been the day of the 2020 Met Gala, to reveal that the movie actually shut down production for the day just so she could attend the gala.

“Fun fact- we were shooting To All The Boys 2 during Met Gala. I worked everyday, so for a hot second I thought I wasn’t going to be able to attend the gala. I was HEARTBROKEN,” Lana shared. “Then, like a d–n fairy godmother, production agreed to halt production for ONE day so I could go. It was literally [a] miracle, and I am so grateful for everyone that helped make that happen.”

“The catch was- I HAD to be back in time for work the next day (Tuesday). That meant- I flew from Vancouver to NYC, did the Met, did the after parties, got RIGHT on a plane back to Vancouver in the EARLY EARLY morning (without sleeping & still having my glam on) and speed to work just to make it on time,” Lana added. “If I didn’t make it on time- I’d cost the production a TON of money. The saving grace was the time difference.”

Lana shared all of this on a photo of her “literally in tears bc I made it 5 minutes early.”

Lana Condor Wishes This Deleted 'TATBILB 2' Scene Could Be Seen

Lana Condor wants a certain To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You scene to be available to watch.

The 22-year-old actress shared a post from her co-star Sarayu Blue, which detailed a scene between the two.

“This. Caption. I wish we could see this cut scene so bad,” Lana said on Instagram Story.

“A year ago at this time, we were shooting #ToAlltheBoys2 I landed on these pics the makeup artist had sent me and I remembered this story: @lanacondor & I had this very sweet little scene where we had a ❤️ to ❤️. There had been many versions, and many on-set revisions, but the final decision was that I’d be gardening. I am a terrible gardener,” Sarayu wrote with her post.â €
â €
“Poor Lana had to do a fairly heart-wrenching scene, while I repeatedly murdered a daffodil (I think it was a daffodil?) She also had to stop over and over again for incessant birds, planes, and quite possibly the longest train in the history of trains,” she continued. “Lana is such a pro though, she would stop, stay in the heart of it, and get right back to the scene with absolute grace & professionalism. Somehow we got through it, crushed daffodils, relentless trains and all. The scene did not go into the film. I blame my gardening.”

“God she’s beautiful,” Lana also says, to which Anthony replies, “You look better.”

“There is nothing more uncomfortable than watching yourself for 2 1/2 minutes,” Anthony also comments.
