The ladies of Little Mix are dishing on facing sexism in the industry.

In their new Glamour UK digital cover story, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock opened up about sexism, female solidarity, and having to take a break this past year due to the pandemic.

“We’ve always had a voice as a four, we’ve been a force and we’ve always been very, ‘we stick together on things,’” Leigh-Anne shared. “But there have been times, like with [music] labels, [where they’ve] backed us into a corner and it is obviously mainly men; they see us as four women and don’t take us seriously. We’ve had that for our whole career. Even until recently. I’m asking, ‘Has much really changed?”

Perrie added, “As girls in the industry, it’s hard enough as it is without saying something, slip up, and then it gets totally blown out of context. We were always just so terrified of that happening, we hated it. That’s why we would just scoot around things.”

On female solidarity, Jade shared, “We’ve shown that women standing together works, even with all the obstacles in our way. Right from the beginning, we were the dark horse on The X Factor, and no one expected us to do well. After that, everyone would say, ‘They’ll do one single and maybe one album and will get dropped.’ We persevered and got through it.”

“We grew and became adult women together,” Jade continued. “It’s impactful, to show others that you can have longevity, you can break barriers, win awards and break records on the back of sticking together and being a force of women. If I had a little girl, seeing that unfold before her, from being ten years to 20 years old, what a great thing to have in the pop industry as a message to young women.”

Little Mix: LM5 – The Tour Film is out now all over the world!!

The Little Mix concert movie was originally released in select territories last November, but now it’s available on iTunes worldwide.

“Spit me out like hot wasabi 👅 LM5: The Tour Film is out now on iTunes. Link in stories,” the group wrote on Instagram.

The concert film was recorded at the final show of their LM5 Tour at London’s O2 Arena, and features songs such as “Wings,” “Shout Out To My Ex,” “Woman Like Me,” “Touch” and more!

You can rent the film on iTunes for $4.99, or you can buy the movie on iTunes for $26.99. For rentals, you have 30 days to watch the movie, but once you start it, you have 48 hours to finish it.

Little Mix also recently announced that their Confetti Tour has been postponed until 2022.

“You know how much we love being on the road and performing every night for you all,” they wrote on Instagram. “However, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we must prioritise the safety of our fans and crew and help to stop the spread.”

“Therefore we’re so sad to say that the Confetti tour will be postponed to April 2022. All tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates and we’re taking this chance to add an additional show for our fans in Cardiff. We can’t wait to see you when it is safe to do so! Lots of love The girls x,” they continued.

Voting on the 2020 Just Jared Jr Fan Awards has come to a close!

Fans have been diligently voting over the last two weeks, and well over three million votes were cast across the 18 categories.

Among the categories included favorite young actor, favorite young actress, favorite social star, and favorite quarantine zoom reunion!

Competition was intense, fans voted right up until the last minute, with extremely close results across quite a few of the categories.

Liam Payne is speaking out about Jesy Nelson‘s recent announcement that she’s leaving Little Mix.

The 27-year-old “Naught List” singer compared her exit to that of Zayn Malik‘s split from One Direction.

“Someone Zayn‘d out,” Liam said during a TikTok live. “No, no. Let’s be serious about this. It’s always sad at this moment in time when bands get into that sort of thing. Having been there myself, I felt that Zayn left for pretty much the same reason in a weird way.”

“I wish Jesy all the best. I wish the girls all the best for carrying on as a three,” he continued. “It’s a tough time and I do feel for them because everyone is watching in that little fishbowl at the moment and no one really understands what’s going on or how it feels for some people.”

Jesy announced on Monday in a letter to fans that she was leaving Little Mix due to the toll it was taking on her mental health. The rest of the group also released a statement, showing full support for their now former bandmate.

The remaining members of Little Mix are speaking out after their now former bandmate Jesy Nelson revealed she’s leaving the girl group.

The group – Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – shared a statement on their Instagram account, along with a cute photo of the band.

“After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix. This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy,” the girl’s wrote. “We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being.”

“We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over,” they continued. “We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are so grateful for your loyalty and continued support of all of us. We’re looking forward to seeing so many of you on tour. Love always, Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne xxx”

Jesy‘s shocking news comes about a month after it was announced she was taking a break from Little Mix for health reasons.

Jesy Nelson just made a shocking statement!

The 29-year-old singer revealed in a note on social media on Monday (December 14) that she is leaving the girl group Little Mix after nine years.

“To all my Mixers, The past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life,” Jesy wrote. “We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the 02. Making friends and fans all over the world I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.”

“The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard. There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process,” she continued. “So after much consideration and with a heavy heart, I’m announcing I’m leaving Little Mix.”

The news of Jesy‘s departure comes almost a month after they announced she was taking some time off from the group for medical reasons.

Jesy Nelson is taking some more time to get better.

The Little Mix singer has been ill for the past couple weeks, causing her to miss out on the finale of Little Mix: The Search and the 2020 MTV EMAs.

Now, the band has released a statement, announcing that she’s taking an extended break to heal.

“Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons. We will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time,” the group said, via their publicist Simon Jones PR.
