Demi Lovato, Joey King, & Sofia Carson Get Inspired at Teen Vogue Summit 2019

Demi Lovato, Joey King, and Sofia Carson join forces at the 2019 Teen Vogue Summit!

The “Sorry Not Sorry” crooner, The Act star, and the Descendants 3 actress teamed up for the event held at Goya Studios on Saturday (November 2) in Los Angeles.

Packed with inspiring talks, workshops, and performances curated by the editors of Teen Vogue, the Teen Vogue Summit is designed to prepare attendees to create change in their communities. More than 1,000 young people participated in the weekend.

“Over the past five years I have changed a lot,” Demi told the crowd at the event. “Like, I have gone through a lot. This is like, really, my first public thing back. So forgive me if I’m a little nervous, but it’s my first time and I haven’t done anything in front of an audience in a while.”

“I wish that I would have known that it is best to live your life without hiding anything,” she added. “I spent so many years trying to put on the role model front rather than being true to myself and being me. It’s just better to be yourself, so if you want to dye your hair purple, dye your hair purple. If you want to love someone of the same sex, love someone of the same sex. Just be yourself.”

Liza Koshy is dishing all about the new season of Liza on Demand and her experience of moving from being just a YouTube creator, to a lot more in her interview with Cosmopolitan.

The 23-year-old actress and creator revealed that prior to launching her show, she was feeling a burnout of being on YouTube.

“There was a point where I was like, I have to be this one person. I have to stay at the same pitch in my voice at all times,” Liza explained. “Otherwise, people are gonna think I fluctuate in my personality.”

She added, “I went into this spiraling dialogue, thinking people are going to hate me for doing something different. I read things online that weren’t the nicest things, I started being even more judgmental and not so nice in my head.”

Liza Koshy's 'Liza on Demand' Season Two Premiere Breaks Huge YouTube Records
