Lucas Till & Nafessa Williams Cast In New TV Pilot After Their Shows End

Lucas Till and Nafessa Williams have just been cast in Lee Daniels‘ upcoming FX pilot The Spook Who Sat by the Door, THR reports.

The two join previously announced Y’lan Noel and Christina Jackson, as well as fellow newly cast Nathan Darrow and Tom Irwin, in the upcoming project.

Lucas Till Reacts To The News That 'MacGyver' Will End After Current Season

Lucas Till has shared a letter following the MacGyver cancelation.

The 30-year-old stars as Angus “Mac” MacGyver in the CBS series, which will be coming to an end after it’s current fifth season.

MacGyver premiered in 2016, and was a reboot of the 1980s series of the same name. It is an “action-adventure drama about 20-something Angus ‘Mac’ MacGyver, who is part of a clandestine organization within the U.S. government, where he uses his extraordinary talent for unconventional problem-solving and vast scientific knowledge to save lives… Under the aegis of the Phoenix Foundation, MacGyver takes on the responsibility of saving the world, armed to the teeth with resourcefulness and little more than bubble gum and a paper clip.”

Lucy Hale & Lucas Till Star In 'Son of the South' Trailer - Watch Now!

The trailer for Lucy Hale and Lucas Till‘s new movie Son of the South was just released!

The two are among the stars of the film, along with Lex Scott Davis, Jake Abel, Julia Ormond, Shamier Anderson and Cedric The Entertainer.

Here’s a quick synopsis: A grandson of a Klansman comes of age during the early 60′s in the deep south and eventually joins the Civil Rights Movement.

The film is based on Bob Zellner‘s autobiography “The Wrong Side of Murder Creek.”

“An incredibly powerful true story. Honored to be a part of this. Son of The South premieres on VOD/Digital February 5th! Directed by @barryalexanderbrown & led by @lucastill @scottyeye & an amazing cast ✨,” Lucy wrote on Instagram with the trailer.

“Had the pleasure of being a part of this with a phenomenal cast of people. Feel lucky everyday to have had the chance to be in it. It was made in summer 2019 and relevancy at the time has only increased since then. It comes out on digital/ VOD February 5th,” Lucas wrote on his account.

Son of the South will be out on VOD and digital on February 5th.

Lucy Hale To Star as Lucas Till's Girlfriend in 'Son of the South' Movie

Lucy Hale and Lucas Till are teaming up on a brand new movie, Son of the South.

Variety reports that the two actors have joined Spike Lee’s civil rights drama, which is based on Bob Zellner‘s autobiography, “The Wrong Side of Murder Creek: A White Southerner in the Freedom Movement.”

Lucas will play Bob, an Alabama native and grandson of a Ku Klux Klan member, is pulled into the center of the civil rights movement in 1961.

Lucy is Carol Ann, Bob’s college girlfriend, and the two will star along with Lex Scott Davis, Julia Ormond, Cedric the Entertainer, Sharonne Lanier, Brian Dennehy and Chaka Forman.

Remember when we told you Ashley Tisdale was going to guest star on CBS’s MacGyver? Well, tonight’s the night it happens!

The actress will star in the episode as Allie, one of Mac’s (Lucas Till) competitors, and former flame, who he must help when something goes wrong in a government operatives challenge.
