Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa get close in the just released music video for their new song “Prisoner“!

The new track is the second single from Miley‘s upcoming new album Plastic Hearts, which is out on November 27th.

The 27-year-old “Midnight Sky” singer recently opened up about the song and working with Dua.

“What I love about ‘Prisoner,’ I mean, I think it’s also coming at a perfect time for everybody. I mean, in a way…I feel too, I mean, we’re just trapped in our emotions right now. I mean, really me, there’s no escaping it,” Miley told Apple Music. “It’s like, ‘Locked up, can’t get you off my mind.’ Anything that you’ve tried to suppress or compartmentalize at that point, it’s coming up. It’s yours to own, to own it or release it. In a way, her and I, we have a lot of things in common, if you look at us.I would say our love for fashion, this is my number one, me and Dua both. She’s probably the only person that can rival my collection of fuzzy hats. We have a love for fuzzy hats.”

“I like when you walk into a room, she’s recognizable. To me, that’s a star. I love that about her,” Miley added. “I also love that she’s very direct. We edited this video on text message, me and her directly as artists. I just don’t want to play telephone when I’m making music. I want to make it with who I’m making with. I don’t want to do a song with someone’s manager. I want to do a song with the artist. Her allowing me to have that direct line of communication and then also the ability to just trust each other, both of us, I think our egos are pretty in check that she’s very willing and I’m very willing. There’s just, also, there’s a lack of competition because in the ways that we’re so much alike, we’re very different.”

Miley Cyrus is celebrating Joe Biden‘s election in the perfect way!

The 27-year-old “Midnight Sky” singer reposted a video from the Saint Hoax Instagram account that combined a video of the President-elect with her hit song “Party In The U.S.A.”

“NOW it’s a PARTY IN THE USA! 🇺🇸🎉 @joebiden @kamalaharris,” Miley captioned her post.

She also retweeted a video of New Yorkers blasting the song after the news was announced for Joe Biden‘s projected win.

“🇺🇸🎉🇺🇸🎉🇺🇸🎉🇺🇸🎉🇺🇸,” she wrote with the retweet.

Miley has been a vocal supporter of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, even sharing an interview with the Vice President-elect on her Instagram, where they talked about voting.

Miley Cyrus has a new song out!

The 27-year-old singer just released her new collab with rock icon Stevie Nicks titled “Edge of Midnight.”

The new song is a combination of Miley‘s recent song “Midnight Sky” and Stevie‘s 1981 hit song “Edge of Seventeen.”

“I was born to run, I don’t belong to anyone, oh no // I don’t need to be loved by you (By you) // Fire in my lungs, can’t bite the devil on my tongue, oh no // I don’t need to be loved by you,” Miley and Stevie sing on the new song.

“Edge of Midnight” is the latest song to be released off of Miley‘s upcoming seventh studio album Plastic Hearts, which she will be dropping later this month on November 27.

Get ready for new music from Miley Cyrus!!

The 27-year-old singer took to her Instagram on Thursday night (October 22) to announce her new album, Plastic Hearts, and that it will be released on November 27th.

“If you’re reading this… know that I f–king love and appreciate you on the deepest level. I began this album over 2 years ago,” Miley wrote. “Thought I had it all figured out. Not just the record with its songs and sounds but my whole f–king life. But no one checks an ego like life itself. Just when I thought the body of work was finished… it was ALL erased. Including most of the musics relevance. Because EVERYTHING had changed.”

“Nature did what I now see as a favor and destroyed what I couldn’t let go of for myself. I lost my house in a fire but found myself in its ashes,” Miley continued. “Luckily my collaborators still had most of the music that was burned up in journals and computers filled with songs for the EP series I was working on at the time. But it never felt right to release my ‘story’ (each record being continual autobiography) with a huge chapter missing.”

“If it were a chapter in my book I guess I would call it ‘The Beginning’ which usually when something is over we call it ‘The End’. But it was far from that,” Miley concluded her post. “In triumph and gratitude I present to you my 7th studio record, Plastic Hearts. To be released Nov. 27th 2020. XXMC”

The announcement of Plastic Hearts comes several weeks after Miley released “Midnight Sky,” which is the first single on the album.

Miley Cyrus is opening up about her next album during an interview with Interview magazine.

While speaking with Rick Owens, the 27-year-old singer shared that she’s working on an album of Metallica covers.

As she explained where she was calling Rick from, it turned into a conversation about her rock inspirations, and Miley revealed that her latest project has her “working on a Metallica covers album.”

She added, “We’re so lucky to be able to continue to work on our art during all of this [the coronavirus pandemic]…at first, it felt uninspiring and now I’ve been totally ignited.”

Miley has previously opened up about her love for the heavy metal band and has been seen wearing the band’s gear.

The 27-year-old “Mother’s Daughter” star was spotted going for a grocery run with a pal at Erewhon on Monday (October 12) in Calabasas, Calif.
