In the upcoming sequel, the story deepens in the music-driven sequel to the global smash hit Descendants, as the teenage sons and daughters of Disney’s most infamous villains — Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay — try to find their place in idyllic Auradon. When the pressure to be royally perfect becomes too much for Mal, she returns to her rotten roots on the Isle of the Lost where her archenemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula, has taken her spot as self-proclaimed queen of the run-down town.
Uma (China Anne McClain), still resentful over not being selected by Ben to go to Auradon Prep with the other Villain Kids, stirs her pirate gang — including Captain Hook’s son Harry (Thomas Doherty) and Gaston’s son Gil (Dylan Playfair) — to break the barrier between the Isle of the Lost and Auradon, and unleash all the villains imprisoned on the Isle, once and for all.
Descendants 2 will premiere in 2017 on Disney Channel.
Just ahead of the Power Rangers franchise airing it’s 800th episode comes news from the upcoming movie from Lionsgate.

Actors Daniel Zovatto, Ross Butler and Brian “Sene” Marc are testing for Zack, the Black Ranger.
JJJ also got our hands on a few other behind-the-scenes shots, and we definitely want to know the story behind Mitchell Hope (Ben) wheeling Zachary Gibson (Doug) on a barrel!
Disney Channel is airing a cool new special this weekend, called Descendants: Set It Off, which will take viewers behind-the-scenes of filming.
Be sure to tune in on Sunday, August 9th @ 9:30PM ET/PT on Disney Channel!
We know you’re all ready to meet the Descendants — but what about the young Prince who brings them all to Auradon Prep?
Meet Prince Ben, played by Mitchell Hope, he’s the dreamy son of King Beast and Queen Belle of Auradon. Poised to take the throne, Prince Ben makes his first proclamation and offers a chance at redemption to Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay by allowing them to attend school in Auradon.
Unlike his peers, Ben does not fear the trouble-making teens and embraces them as friends while he helps them navigate the unfamiliar land where goodness runs rampant.
Mitchell grew up involved in the theatre program in his community and at his high school and his first on-screen role was in Australia’s Down The Way, before he appeared in INXS: Never Tear Us Apart.
He currently lives in Melbourne, Australia and has two younger brothers and a brand new puppy, and when he’s not letting villainous kids into a kingdom, he loves to play basketball, squash and surfing.
Descendants premieres TONIGHT, Friday, July 31st @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
