Surprise! Haley Dunphy is pregnant with twins on Modern Family!
Just before the show’s winter break, Haley (Sarah Hyland) revealed to her parents that she was expecting her first child with high school sweetheart, Dylan (Reid Ewing), and in this week’s all-new episode, Haley gets quite a surprise.
During her visit to the gynecologist, the doctor reveals that there are two babies, instead of just one like Haley was expecting.
“That’s impossible,†Haley says in her freak out, which premiered on People. “It’s a mistake. I can’t have twins. That’s twice as many babies as we were expecting. How are they going to fit in our place? How are they going to fit in my body? One is always going to be awake. I’ll never sleep again. And those double strollers are so wide, I can say goodbye to ever shopping in a boutique.â€
However, mom Claire (Julie Bowen) is there to calm her fears down.

Did you miss last night’s Modern Family?
If you did, you probably didn’t see that Sarah Hyland‘s Haley Dunphy was the one who is pregnant!
The reveal happened in the ending moments of the episode where Haley was taken to the hospital after lipstick got stuck in her nose during a ride on the bumper cars at the carnival with on-again boyfriend Dylan (Reid Ewing).
On her Instagram Stories, Sarah revealed that she knew about the storyline since “before the season started.” However, she had “zero information on details!”
Sarah also shared a behind-the-scenes pic on her Instagram with her wearing a fake baby bump. Check it out below:
Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, and Nolan Gould teamed up for the FYC Event for their show Modern Family!
The trio stepped out for the event held at Avalon on Monday (April 16) in Hollywood.
Their co-stars Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, and executive producer Steven Levitan were also in attendance.
Sarah – looking gorgeous in a strapless grey printed dress – showed off her brand-new haircut featuring blunt bangs!

Tonight is a special occasion for Modern Family – it’s 200th episode airs!
Rico Rodriguez, who plays Manny on the sitcom, shared a heartfelt post before the big night.
“If you would have told me when I started acting 11 years ago, I would eventually be on a tv show that would surpass 200 episodes, I would’ve said you were joking. But, here I am today, asking all of you to celebrate with us and tune into the 200th episode of #ModernFamily airing tonight on ABC!” he wrote on Instagram. “Thank you Chris, Steve, Jeff Greenberg, my cast, my crew, ABC, and 20th Century Fox for making my dreams a reality. But especially thanks to all of our fans who have joined our family adventures for the last 9 seasons. You all have made this possible!”
Modern Family‘s 200th episode, “Dear Beloved Family,” airs TONIGHT at 8 pm on ABC!
It looks like the Modern Family cast had a blast during their latest day of filming!
Sarah Hyland was spotted on set on Thursday (December 7) in Los Angeles.
She rocked an orange and blue printed dress with a matching blue duster and heels, and an oversized brown purse.
During the scene, her character Haley was all smiles after receiving a text message.
Sarah was joined on set by her co-stars Nolan Gould, who got stuck on a rooftop, and Rico Rodriguez, who looked up at Nolan from the sidewalk alongside Ty Burrell and Sofia Vergara.
Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Sarah Hyland just revealed something big about her Modern Family character, Haley Dunphy — that she’s bisexual!
The theory about Haley’s sexuality stemmed from one fan on Twitter, who wrote, “haley dunphy is bisexual ! #oneofus #oneofus,” before asking Sarah, “actually, @Sarah_Hyland please confirm ??”

Sarah responded to the fan’s question on Twitter with, “I don’t know what the writers would say? But I confirm.”
Haley has dated all but men on the show, starting with Dylan (Reid Ewing), Andy (Adam DeVine) and most recently, Rainer (Nathan Fillion).
The Modern Family “kids” huddle together for a group shot during a boat ride out to their shooting location for the day on Wednesday (August 23) in Lake Tahoe, Calif.
Ariel Winter, Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez all shared shots from their ride out to set before filming new episodes for the hit ABC show.
Sarah even got a little sentimental on her Instagram Stories.
“They’re so grown up,” she wrote on a pic of the others walking ahead of her; and “Nuggets” with another shot of Nolan and Rico. Awww!
Ariel also wore a fun Spider-Man rash guard on their way to the island.
Modern Family returns on Wednesday, September 27th.
