Gossip Girl is kicking off the new year!!
The revival series’ official Instagram account took to the page on New Year’s Day to reveal the character names of the new cast, and a word to describe each one.
The main cast of the new version of the show includes Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Thomas Doherty, Eli Brown, Jordan Alexander, Savannah Smith, Zion Moreno and Whitney Peak.
Also in the cast include the return of Kristen Bell as the voice of Gossip Girl, Laura Benanti, Jason Gotay, Johnathan Fernandez and Adam Chanler-Berat.

If you didn’t know, the original Gossip Girl series was just removed from Netflix, but don’t worry, it’s now available to watch on HBO Max, which is also the home of the revival!

Eli Brown, Emily Alyn Lind, and Whitney Peak were seen in their school uniforms while filming on the Upper East Side of New York City on Monday (November 23).
The stars were seen alongside other actors from the new HBO Max series, including Thomas Doherty, Zion Moreno, Savannah Smith, Jordan Alexander, Evan Mock, and Tavi Gevinson.
The original series followed the lives of students at elite private high schools in New York City’s Upper East Side – the Constance Billard School for Girls and the St. Jude’s School for Boys. The photos from set confirm that the students will be attending the same schools in the upcoming extension series.
The Gossip Girl showrunner spoke out this month to explain why the upcoming series should NOT be considered a reboot.

Thomas Doherty sits on the steps of the Metropolitan Musuem of Art with his Gossip Girl co-stars in these new photos on Tuesday (November 10) in New York City.
The 25-year-old actor was joined by Eli Brown, Evan Mock, Savannah Smith, Tavi Gevinson, Jordan Alexander, Emily Alyn Lind, Zion Moreno and Whitney Peak.
The group of actors filmed scenes on the steps, which were famously featured often in the first couple of seasons in the original Gossip Girl.
Blair (Leighton Meester) would sit at the top of the steps before school or at lunch, and her minions would sit on the steps right below her. Once Blair graduated from Constance, Jenny (Taylor Momsen) took over the hierarchy and would sit at the top of the steps.
The week before, Thomas shared with fans that he was starting work on the reboot, by sharing a selfie in the hair and makeup trailer, showing off his ripped abs!
Eli and Whitney were also seen filming night scenes later in the week.
The Gossip Girl reboot is set to premiere in 2021 on HBO Max.

Thomas Doherty is heading to the Upper East Side!
It was just announced that the 24-year-old Descendants 3 star has joined the cast of the upcoming Gossip Girl reboot.
Tavi Gevinson, Adam Chanler-Berat, and Zion Moreno will also star in the new series.
Just last week, it was announced that Emily Alyn Lind and Eli Brown were cast, along with a few more.
The reboot will take place eight years after the original, with Kristen Bell returning as the voice of Gossip Girl.
This cast is so good and is getting us even more excited for this reboot!!!
Katherine Langford and Millie Bobby Brown stun as they arrive at the Calvin Klein Fashion Show on Tuesday night (September 11) at the New York Stock Exchange in New York City.
The Netflix actresses were joined at the show by Rowan Blanchard and Noah Schnapp as they stepped out for the show.

Other stars at the show included Tavi Gevinson and Billie Eilish.
Walking in the show was Kaia Gerber – a Jaws T-shirt under a burgundy blazer while wearing a graduation cap on the runway.

The singer and Girl Meets World star snapped some pics at the event presented by L’Oreal Paris, Real Is Rare, Real Is A Diamond and Calvin Klein at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills on Monday (October 16) in Los Angeles.
Sabrina paired her sequin dress with nude-colored heels.
She was joined by Yara Shahidi, who also stunned in a white dress with beaded accents and white shoes, styling her hair into an updo.
