Taylor Swift Announces 'Fearless' Re-Recorded Album Release, 'Love Story' Dropping TONIGHT

Taylor Swift is about to drop her THIRD album in a year!

The 31-year-old singer and songwriter announced the exciting news that she’s releasing her first re-recorded album, Fearless.

She revealed the news on Good Morning America, followed by a long note to fans on social media. She also revealed that the new version of “Love Story” will be out TONIGHT (February 12) at midnight.

“I’m thrilled to tell you that my new version of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is done and will be with you soon. It has 26 songs including 6 never before released songs from the vault. Love Story (Taylor’s Version) will be out tonight. 💛💛,” she captioned her post.

In her note, Taylor shares some details and tidbits about Fearless, re-recording her music and even dropped a clue as to when the album will be released.

“This process has been more fulfilling and emotional than I could’ve imagined and has made me even more determined to re-record all of -my music. I hope you’ll like this first outing as much as I liked travelling back in time to recreate it,” Taylor said.

Throughout the entire letter, Taylor capitalized letters, and if you put them all together, it spells out “April Ninth,” which seems to allude when the full album will be out.

Fearless was written when she was 16-18, and was originally released as her second album in 2008. The new version will feature 26 songs, including SIX never before released songs!

Olivia Rodrigo Dishes On When She Found Out Taylor Swift Commented On 'drivers license'

Olivia Rodrigo is opening up about being the biggest Swiftie!

In a new interview about her debut single “drivers license,” the 17-year-old revealed just when and how she found out that Taylor Swift commented on her song.

“I’ve never met her in person, but I posted a cover of one of her songs off of Lover, ‘Cruel Summer,’ like a weirdo, and I did it on Instagram Live and she found it and she posted it on her story and was like, ‘This is amazing. Thank you so much.’ And I screamed my head off, I was so excited,” Olivia told Apple Music.

“I’m just the biggest Swiftie in the whole world, so I tweeted at her all the time and just post stuff about her just organically because that’s how I’m feeling as a 17-year-old girl,” she continued. “But this time, I was dead asleep and my friend called me on the phone and I was like, ‘Oh my God, it’s 6:00 AM, can I call you back in two hours?’ And he’s like, ‘No. Absolutely not. Check your Instagram right now.’ And in the grogginess of my sleep, I checked my phone and she commented on my photo and I just about died… just about died. Literally, I’ve looked up to her as long as I can remember, so it was so sweet of her to do that.”

Olivia also talked about her song and how she wrote it.

“I wrote the bulk of the song literally crying in my living room, and I think that it definitely has that feel to it,” she shared. “I was driving around my neighborhood, actually listening to really sad songs and crying in the car, and I got home and I was like, ‘Maybe I’ll write a song about this, crying in the car.’ So, I just sat down at my piano and plucked out some chords that I liked and it kind of happened that way. But it was really, really natural and organic. Very much me writing in the depth of my emotion. I think that’s really cool.”

Olivia Rodrigo's Idol Taylor Swift Says She's 'Really Proud' of 'drivers license'

Olivia Rodrigo is having the best premiere for her debut single “drivers license“!

The 17-year-old singer and actress debuted the song, and it has quickly climbed the charts.

Over the weekend, “drivers license” was sitting at No 3 on iTunes, right behind two of Taylor Swift‘s songs.

“next to taylor on the us i tunes chart i’m in a puddle of tears 😭😭😭😭,” Olivia captioned a photo of the chart.

Taylor then commented on her post!

“I say that’s my baby and I’m really proud 💗👏,” she wrote.

Olivia freaked out over the comment, understandably, and shared a video of her lip-syncing to Taylor‘s speech at the 2007 CMAs and saying, “I can’t believe this. This is definitely the highlight of my senior year.”

This isn’t the first time that Taylor has commented about Olivia. She reacted to a cover Olivia did back in April.

“drivers license” is currently the number one song and music video on iTunes, and it’s looking like the song could debut at No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100!!

Taylor Swift Opens Up About Not Adhering To a Checklist For 'folklore' & 'evermore'

Taylor Swift recently opened up about the writing process for her latest albums folklore and evermore.

The 31-year-old musician surprise released the two albums within six months of each other this year.

Taylor shared that while creating these records, she didn’t adhere to her normal checklist like she has in the past.

“Pure is a really, really perfect word for that because what happens to you as your career builds and builds and builds and builds is that if you’ve accomplished a thing in the past, all of a sudden you’re expected to accomplish that thing plus another new thing, plus this other thing over here,” she told Apple Music. “It becomes sort of like I had felt at times when I felt a lot of pressure, I had felt like I was doing some sort of obstacle course. And that’s not how you should feel when you’re creating.”

“You shouldn’t feel like, ‘I need to make a track list where this one’s for the stadium show, this one’s for radio, this one’s for people who want to get in their feelings,’” Taylor continued. “Check, check, check, and you can end up doing that. And it’s good to have friends who are artists who have similar pressures. Like Ed Sheeran and I talk about this a great deal. This was a time when we both stepped back, and I would say to him, ‘This is the first time I felt like I threw the checklist away.’”

“Like I threw it away and I definitely could have gone into the pandemic thinking, ‘I’ve got to wait for everything to open up so I can do things exactly the way that I am used to doing them.’ But then about three days in, I thought, ‘Wait, this could be an opportunity for me to do things in a way I haven’t ever done them before. What would my work sound like if I took away all of my fear-based check listing that I have inflicted on myself?’ So I guess – I know the answer now.”

In case you missed it, Taylor is up for three 2020 Just Jared Jr Fan Awards – Favorite Song of 2020 for “Cardigan,” Favorite Album of 2020 for folklore and Favorite Music Video of 2020 for “The Man” and “Cardigan.” Be sure to vote for Taylor here!!
