Ruby Rose has joined the cast of the upcoming film 1UP!
The former Batwoman actress is taking over the role from Elliot Page, who has stepped away from the project, THR reports.
Also joining the cast are The Kissing Booth 2‘s Taylor Zakhar Perez, Hari Nef and Nicholas Coombe.
Fans may have already guessed that Taylor, Hari and Nicholas were cast in the film as they have been seen in Instagram photos posted by Paris Berelc and director Kyle Newman.
The movie is the first from Buzzfeed Studios and Lionsgate’s partnership, and production began back in November in Toronto.
Here’s a synopsis: A female gamer named Vivian Lee (Berelc) quits her college eSports team rather than put up with sexism from her male counterparts. But with her scholarship on the line, she is forced to assemble a Varsity caliber, all-women’s team that can compete with the boys.
With the help of an enigmatic coach (Rose) who returns to the spotlight after her own GamerGate scandal, the young woman recruits an unlikely crew of unskilled misfits to kick some serious gamer butt.

Joey King is wishing her The Kissing Booth 2 co-star Taylor Zakhar Perez a “Happy birthday”!
The 21-year-old actress posted a few photos for her friend’s b-day and even touched on his looks.
“Happy birthday to the snackiest snack that ever snacked. I love you,” Joey wrote on a photo of the two jumping in the air. Taylor‘s dog can also be seen the pic.
Joey also shared a couple more photos that looked to be from their road trip back at the beginning of August. If you missed the pics, see the hot, shirtless photos of Taylor from their vacation!
Fans have been shipping Joey and Taylor since the release of The Kissing Booth 2 in July, but the pair are just good friends! Taylor addressed the dating rumors a couple times, calling his co-star “dope.”
Joey and Taylor will be seen back on screen together in the upcoming The Kissing Booth 3. In case you forgot, they filmed TKB2 and TKB3 back to back, and it is set to be released in 2021.

Netflix has released their streaming numbers from the past few months!
The streaming platform revealed that The Kissing Booth 2 had 66 million viewers in it’s first four weeks.
Star Joey King shared the exciting news on her Instagram story, writing, “Well that’s pretty cool.”
Taylor Zakhar Perez echoed her statement with “So. Freaking. COOL!,” and added a couple videos to say thank you and ask for fans to vote for the movie at the 2020 People’s Choice Awards. Voting ends THIS Friday (October 23) and you can CLICK HERE to vote!
Joel Courtney also chimed in by sharing the news and adding a few of the shocked face and mind blowing emojis.
Netflix also shared that Millie Bobby Brown‘s Enola Holmes brought in a whopping 76 million viewers in it’s first four weeks!

Taylor Zakhar Perez is dishing on the dating rumors between him and Joey King.
During a new interview, the 28-year-old actor opened up about the constant rumors surrounding his relationship with his The Kissing Booth 2 co-star.
“We were quarantine buddies so I would see her all the time because we lived five minutes away from each other. We know what our relationship is, we love each other dearly,” he said on the Chicks In The Office podcast. “It’s been interesting how everyone has been trying to make something out of it but it’s fine. I mean, hey, I would love to be dating Joey King, she’s dope.”
“I’m a huge fan of dating your friend, someone that you know and you trust because that’s where it all starts right. For me, non-sexual intimacy is so much more important to me at first. I’m all about the sensitive stuff,” he added about relationships.
“I’m all about the ROI, what’s the return on investment. If I’m investing this much time into someone I’m gonna be dating, I’m gonna make sure this is more than a three-month thing,” Taylor continued. “I’m more into long-term goal wise when it comes to work and relationships and everything. Life’s short and you want to make sure you are spending it with the best people. I’m so much more turned on by emotional intimacy than sexual intimacy at first. I love that.”
