First Look & Premiere Date For Rose McIver's New Series 'Ghosts' Revealed

Rose McIver has a new show coming out and new details have been revealed!

The 32-year-old former iZombie actress will star in Ghosts on CBS, alongside Utkarsh Ambudkar.

CBS has unveiled the first look images and they also revealed when it will premiere later this year.

iZombie's Rose McIver Is Heading Back To Primetime TV In New Series 'Ghosts'

Rose McIver is set to star in an upcoming comedy series at CBS!!

The 32-year-old actress will return to primetime TV alongside Utkarsh Ambudkar in Ghosts, Deadline reveals.

“Today is a good day,” Rose wrote on Instagram, along with the news, on Wednesday (March 31).

Rose and Utkarsh will play a struggling young couple, Samantha and Jay, “whose dreams come true when they inherit a beautiful country house, only to find it’s both falling apart and inhabited by many of the deceased previous residents.”

Ghosts is based off of a British series of the same name and will also star Rebecca Wisocky, Brandon Scott Jones, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Richie Moriarty, Sheila Carrasco and Roman Zaragoza.

Rose of course previously starred in iZombie for five seasons on The CW, which is owned by the same company as CBS. She then appeared in the Hulu series Woke.

Utkarsh regularly lends his voice to the Disney Junior series Mira, Royal Detective, which will premiere it’s new season next week. He also starred in a recurring role on The Mindy Project as Mindy Kaling‘s younger brother. He’s also recently appeared in the Disney+ movie Godmothered, and will be seen in Ryan Reynold‘s Free Guy, out later this year.

Karan Brar Premieres New Disney Junior Series 'Mira, Royal Detective'

Karan Brar steps out for the premiere of his new show Mira, Royal Detective held at The Walt Disney Studios on Saturday (March 7) in Burbank, Calif.

The 21-year-old actor was joined by co-stars Leela Ladnier and Avantika Vandanapu, who you may recognize from Diary of a Future President.

The three are just a few of many South Asian actors who voice characters in the show, which is inspired by the cultures and customs of India.

Also in attendance were co-stars Freida Pinto, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Maulik Pancholy, Karan Soni, Karen David, Roshni Edwards, Kamran Lucas, Rizwan Manji, Parvesh Cheena, Sonal Shah, Hari Kondabolu, Iqbal Theba, and Julian Zane.

Set in the magical Indian-inspired land of Jalpur, the series introduces a brave and resourceful girl named Mira, a commoner who is appointed to the role of royal detective by the queen. The series centers on Mira, who, along with her friend Prince Neel, creative cousin Priya, and comical mongoose sidekicks Mikku and Chikku, set out on mystery-solving adventures that highlight critical thinking and encourage deductive reasoning for young viewers.

A second season has already been picked up, and the show hasn’t even started airing yet!

Mira, Royal Detective premieres Friday, March 20th, at 11am EDT on Disney Channel and at 7pm EDT on Disney Junior.
