OlderLucy Hale Talks Why She Took A Step Back From Music For Now
It’s fair to say that Lucy Hale is an amazing singer — she even put out an amazing album, called Road Between, back in 2014.
But since then, there’s only been one more song from her — and we finally know why.
Speaking with Coveteur, Lucy says that after dropping her debut album, it was the touring life that got to her.
“It was really hard for me to embrace the touring part of it [after my last album],” she says. “Performing live made me a very anxious person all the time, so I was like, ‘Why am I putting myself through that if it’s making me a hot mess?’”
Lucy adds that she “had to take a step back from that and reevaluate how I wanted to do music and where it fits in.”
“At the end of the day, it’s still my hobby; I love music more than anything. I’d love to make another album and then obviously [sing] through acting jobs.”
We hope Lucy does get back into music more — because we love her music!
