Gina & Seb Shine During Amazing Performances at Carlos' Quinceañero on 'HSMTMTS' (Videos)

WARNING: This post contains spoilers for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!!

The latest episode of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and it’s all about Carlos’ surprise Quinceañero.

In the episode, Gina (Sofia Wylie) and Seb (Joe Serafini) rally the group to throw Carlos (Frankie Rodriguez) the music and dance-filled Quinceañero he never had. Meanwhile, Ricky (Joshua Bassett) accidentally oversteps in more ways than one, and Miss Jenn (Kate Reinders) gets a wild idea about how to get Nini (Olivia Rodrigo) back onstage at East High.

For his birthday, Gina and Seb both put on amazing performances at the party for Carlos. Gina performed an incredible song and dance number, “A Dancer’s Heart,” inspired by one of Carlos’ old videos, and he was living for her performance (honestly, same!). Seb sat at the piano for a beautiful rendition of Miley Cyrus‘ “The Climb.”

Also in the episode, after Nini returns to East High, Ricky tries really hard to get Nini back on stage and looks to find a role for her in Beauty and the Beast, which has already long been cast.

Another interesting turn events from this week’s episode is that rival North High has also now decided to change their musical from The Little Mermaid to Beauty and the Beast, and Lily (Olivia Rose Keegan) will serve as co-director alongside Zack (Derek Hough).

To top it all off, was Carlos’ Quinceañero also a goodbye party for Gina? At the end of the episode, she called her mom and said, “I’m ready to come home.”
