Alisha Boe won’t be spilling any juicy details about the upcoming season of 13 Reasons Why…and that’s probably a smart decision.

Instead the actress, who plays Jessica in the series, is giving fans just a little hint and opening up about how the series impacted her own life.

“I can say that Hannah doesn’t narrate all the episodes,” Alisha told Coveteur. “I can say it will focus on Jessica’s story line more. I think that’s about it. I don’t want to be fired [laughs].”

However, the series has changed her entire life.

“I don’t think I’ve had as much growth as a human being as I did filming season one,” she adds about all the personal lessons she’s learned. “I learned so much about sexual violence against women, and it made me open a dialogue with the women around me. I learned how to have a conversation with the people I care about. And then it made me realize most of the women I know have been harassed or assaulted. That’s just the sad truth of life.”

Alisha continues that at the time Harvey Weinstein‘s scandal came out, she was right int he middle of filming.

“It just made me even more empowered to go in to work the next day to tell the story…’cause I realized how relevant it was,” Alisha says.

“March 31st is the anniversary of the first season coming out. So I think it’s maybe almost been two years since I started 13. And I’ve grown so much as a woman in those two years, if I even could call myself a woman yet. But it’s been a whirlwind, to say the least.”

13 Reasons Why‘s second season premiere is expected to be announced any day now.

The Riverdale star teamed up with more of your favorite stars for the campaign, which celebrates the launch the brand’s newest Instagram account, Converse Style (@converse_style).

It also features Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Hill, Selah Marley, Alisha Boe, Alton Mason, and Rowan Blanchard.

In the photos, the celebs show off their Chucks in their own unique way – Sabrina incorporated them into her character on The Goodwin Games, Alton wears his to dance class, and Taylor roughs hers up at Coachella.

“I got my first pair of grey Chucks and I was like, ‘I’m not going to do white, I’m not going to do black, I’m doing grey because they’ll match with everything,’” Sabrina told Just Jared about wearing her own shoes in her fist pilot. “And they did, I wore them until they had holes in them and they were my favorite. I remember I made – because I was filming one of my first ever pilots when I was 13 and I was so in love with those shoes – that I made them let my character wear those as her shoes on the show. Because I was so comfortable in them and I was like, the only way I’m going to be comfortable is if I can wear my favorite grey Chucks.”

Zendaya received a big honor at the 2017 GLSEN Respect Awards!

The actress and singer hit the red carpet for the event held on Friday (October 20) at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.

She stunned in an orange blouse, grey skirt, and fuchsia-colored heels, styling her hair into side-swept waves. Zendaya finished off her look with silver jewelry.

She was joined by Alisha Boe, honorary co-chair Connor Franta, Tommy Dorfman, and Charlie Carver.

Zendaya and Connor both spoke on stage during the ceremony, and Zendaya was honored with the Gamechanger Award for her advocacy and activism.

Also in attendance were the Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network’s National Student Council members. The organization’s mission is to ensure that every member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

For his birthday this year, Connor designed a sweatshirt, t-shirt, and baseball cap with all proceeds going to GLSEN.

13 Reasons Why star Alisha Boe got a lot of attention for her portrayal of rape victim Jessica on the Netflix series — but don’t expect her to change up everything about herself, especially online.

Speaking with Galore magazine, Alisha opened up about remaining true to herself and keeping all her social media accounts exactly as they were.

“I mean I got these followers relatively fast because of 13 Reasons Why. Before the show came out I only had 5,000 followers or something, and then within a month I had over a million. But I kept my online personality the same as before,” she says.

Alisha adds, “Even though now I find myself at more fancy events and red carpets, I’m not the type of person to post all glammed up photos all the time because I’m just a twenty-year-old girl trying to figure out how to be comfortable in my own body, and to do that on the internet is terrifying.”

“So I just like to keep things how they were.”

13 Reasons Why season one is currently streaming on Netflix.

Danielle Panabaker is feeling inspired after attending the Glamour x Tory Burch Women To Watch Lunch!

The Flash actress wore a dress covered with images of dancers while stepping out for the event on Friday (September 15) at the brand’s boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Calif.

She completed her look with a powder blue purse and brown pumps.

Danielle was joined by 13 Reasons Why‘s Alisha Boe, as well as Stranger Things‘ Shannon Purser and Natalia Dyer, who both sported pretty patterns.

The private luncheon was held to celebrate the women of television who work in front of and behind the camera.

Guests were given a Phipps watch, a new Tory Burch design inspired by equestrian detail and classic American sportswear.

“Ladies who lunch!” Danielle wrote on Instagram. “Thank you @glamourmag & @toryburch for hosting such a beautiful lunch with such inspiring women. Was a delight to chat with so many inspiring women.”

Skai Jackson just dropped some really exciting news — she’s coming out with her own fashion collection!

The Bunk’D actress has teamed up with Macy’s and their line, Nowadays, for a new collection coming in October.

Avan Jogia is always on, or just one step ahead of fashion trends so it’s really no surprise at all that he was rocking mermaid sequin shorts during the Libertine show during New York Fashion Week on Monday (September 11).

Sitting next to brother Ketan, Skai Jackson and India De Beaufort, Avan was even seen writing on messages on his shorts on his Instagram stories last night.
