During the panel, it was announced that Central City will be getting a new villain. Chris Klein has been cast as a series regular in the role of Cicada, “a grizzled, blue-collar everyman whose family has been torn apart by metahumans, Cicada now seeks to exterminate the epidemic — one metahuman at a time.”
The trailer for the upcoming season five was also debuted during the panel. The show will return Tuesday, October 9th on The CW. Watch below!
Eliza Taylor signs an autograph for a fan waiting in line during the Supanova Fan Convention in Sydney, Australia over the weekend.
The 100 star was joined by The Flash‘s Carlos Valdes and Arrow‘s Stephen Amell at the annual convention. Meanwhile, her co-star Lindsey Morgan was seen at the German Comic-Con.
In a new interview, Eliza opened up about facing hard times just before booking Clarke on The 100, and how she gets just as emotional as the fans because it actually changed her life for the better.
“I was working four different jobs to save the money to move to Los Angeles, including teaching drama, and working at a nightclub called Love Machine in Melbourne — it took three years,†she remembers. “When I got to Los Angeles, I went to pay for groceries and found my credit card had been skimmed and someone had taken all my money.”
After being cast in the series, Eliza was “borrowing money from the cast and crew for the first month. I was ready to pack my bags: it was a nightmare.”
However, going through that experience has made her appreciate The 100 even more, and her relationships with the cast, crew, and fans.
“I get quite emotional when people say things like: ‘Your show helped me through a really hard time’ or ‘You saved my life…it’s really amazing.â€
Cisco and Caitlin get to team up for a critical mission on tonight’s all-new episode of The Flash – to help Breacher.
Why is Breacher back? Well, his powers are getting a little wacky.
“He’s facing off against a crazy vampire-like [creature] named Crucifer, and his powers are failing him,” Carlos Valdes previews with EW. “He can’t do his revive blast, so he asks his daughter,… and she recommends the Flash.”
As Caitlin and Cisco team up, they find out that the reason Breacher’s powers are wacky is because “he’s getting old.”
“Cisco’s responsibility in the episode is to tell Breacher that his powers aren’t working because he’s getting old, which is just about the last thing that you want to tell your girlfriend’s dad, so talk about awkward,” Carlos says – and we 100% agree with that!
Elsewhere in the episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) take different approaches to finding the remaining bus metas before DeVoe gets to them. However, Ralph’s cavalier attitude frustrates Barry and the two clash over what it means to be a hero.
Cisco jokes that he found her because he has his own satellite in the clip below, finding her tending at a bar in Central City, and begs her to come back to Team Flash, because he needs her help in freeing Barry from the Speed Force.
Carlos Vardes, who plays Cisco, told EW about him feeling the loss of Caitlin on the team.
Caitlin, thought, isn’t so sure about returning at all.
“Caitlin is a little bit more reserved, at least at the top of the season,” Danielle Panabaker says. “It’s not the Caitlin we’ve seen in past seasons.”
“At this point, obviously she’s been through some traumatic things, particularly the loss of her husband, but this one’s different; this one has affected her in a very specific way, and in a much more internal way.”
During their panel discussion, it was announced that three new characters will be joining season 4 of the hit show.
Danny Trejo has signed on to play a feared bounty hunter while Neil Sandilands will play villain Clifford Devoe aka The Thinker to battle The Flash. Kim Engelbrecht is also joining the show to play The Thinker’s right hand assistant.
Season 4 of The Flash will premiere on Tuesday, October 10 on The CW.
