Laura Marano wears a bold pink dress for the ‘BEYOND’ Spirit Day Concert held at The Sayers Club on Wednesday (October 17) in Hollywood.
The 22-year-old singer and actress joined Nick Jonas, Bea Miller, JoJo, Julianne Hough, Derek Hough and Darren Criss at the event to support songwriter Justin Tranter and GLAAD.
During the event, several celebs including Nick and Derek donated funds to GLAAD in support of Spirit Day, Variety reports.
Darren even hopped on stage to perform with Justin, singing Julia Michaels‘ “Issues” without any rehearsal before hand.
Spirit Day is an anti-bullying campaign that was started in 2010 and takes place on the third Thursday of October. LGBTQ people and their allies are encouraged to wear purple on the day to show their support.

The two heartthrobs performed a surprise duet together during Darren‘s 2018 Elsie Fest in Central Park at the Summerstage on Sunday (October 7) in New York City.

Elsie Fest, founded by Darren, is NYC’s first music festival featuring stars and songs of the stage and screen.
Nick and Darren sang “Brotherhood of Man” together from How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Rufus Wainwright, Zachary Levi, Matthew Morrison, Jodi Benson, Grant Gustin, Will Roland, Joshua Henry, Alex Newell, Sutton Foster, Casey Cott, Corey Cott and the casts of Be More Chill, The Prom and Anna and the Apocalypse were among the many talented acts to hit the stage during the event.

Lili Reinhart hangs out with a friend during Cinespia‘s Footloose screening held at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Wednesday night (July 4) in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old Riverdale starlet was among over 8,000 moviegoers to check out the flick, plus a fireworks show at the end of the movie.
A few nights before, Rowan Blanchard was seen at the summer event for a screening of Thelma & Louise with a friend; and Alisha Boe, and Emma Kenney were seen at the Vertigo screening, all presented by Amazon Studios.

On why he doesn’t share about his personal life: “I’m so weird about talking about my personal life…Deep down, I’m a sentiment hoarder. If something is special to me I don’t want to share it with the rest of the world.”
On using social media: “One of my greatest curses, and this is a much deeper thing, is I wish I posted more. I’m not a very big social media person, I’m horrible at it. Mainly because I am too busy doing said interesting shit and I think everything is interesting and funny, that if I was to take the time and post all that… I would never be observing said interesting fun shit and I would always be on my phone.â€
On playing gay characters: “Anytime people joke..like ‘Man, you just play a lot of gay characters.’ I go, ‘Yeah, lucky me, right?!’ Because that narrative is an interesting narrative. It’s a historically heroic narrative that involves resilient brave people and to be any kind of beacon for that story for any characterization of that element is fucking amazing…Like what a f**king privilege.”
