With only a week to go until the premiere of Shadowhunters season three, Katherine McNamara is giving fans a taste of what to expect on the Freeform series — especially when it comes to Clary’s relationship with Izzy.
Speaking with Hidden Remote, the 22-year-old actress explained that Clary’s scenes with Izzy (Emeraude Toubia) are there, but limited.
“There’s the obstacle [with Isabelle],” Katherine says. “It’s the same thing with Clary and Alec’s relationship. They were just now starting to be on the same page.”
“Alec had finally accepted her as part of the team, starting to give her responsibilities and starting to kind of bring her into their world, and yet, this secret is going to put a block on that because Alec can tell that something’s going on.”
Katherine adds, “Clary can’t open up to Isabelle either because [Clary] will not make anyone else culpable. It becomes really difficult for a good while.”
Hmmm, we’ll have to see how this plays out.
Shadowhunters returns on Tuesday, March 20th on Freeform.

The 21-year-old Shadowhunters actress stepped out in a flower print dress at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards held at USC’s Galen Center on Sunday (August 13) in Los Angeles.
She was joined by her co-stars Isaiah Mustafa and Emeraude Toubia!
The Shadowhunters cast was up for several awards including Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show! Emeraude also received a nod for Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress.
The 2017 Teen Choice Awards will air TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on Fox.

The casts of Shadowhunters and Stitchers took a break from their busy supernatural schedules to challenge each other to a game of Mortal Flip Cup!

Shadowhunters actress Emeraude Toubia has spoken out before about her strong relationship with Prince Royce, and in a revealing new interview she can’t help but gush over the singer.
“Does he ever sing to me? Yeah, he does!” the 28-year-old replied in a video interview to Latina.com, “He sings a lot of songs, and a lot of new songs.”
Emeraude also revealed that she has inspired some of his music.
“There is a song, yeah,” she said, “I mean, that’s what he tells me. Who knows if it’s true, right? There’s a song he said he wrote for me called ‘Nada.’ It just talks about how nothing is worth living without you.”
