Jared Padalecki Offers First Look at New Show 'Walker'

Jared Padalecki is hoping fans follow him to Walker!

The actor will be starring as the title character in the new, upcoming series at The CW.

A new video was recently released of Jared, with a little peek as to what he’ll be looking like in the new show.

“Hey y’all. This is Jared Padalecki. This January, only on The CW, we’ll be going from the Winchester family to the Walker family,” he says. “The family I’d like most to come along is you, my CW family. Can’t wait for you to join me here in Texas.”

The new show is a reimagining of the long-running series Walker, Texas Ranger, and follows Jared as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.

He’ll attempt to reconnect with his creative and thoughtful son (Kale Culley) and his headstrong, somewhat rebellious teenaged daughter (Violet Brinson) and navigate clashes with his family – an ADA brother (Keegan Allen) who stepped in during Walker’s absence, his perceptive mother (Molly Hagen) and his traditional rancher father (Mitch Pileggi).

Walker’s former colleague is now his Ranger Captain, (Coby Bell). Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner (one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history) played by Lindsey Morgan, while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.

Also starring in the show include Jared‘s wife Genevieve in a recurring role, Odette Annable and Jeff Pierre.

Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki Dish On Coronavirus Safety On 'Supernatural' Set

The stars of Supernatural are opening up about the safety measures that were taken while filming the final episodes of the series.

Jensen Ackles dished that going to the set was safer than going home!

“Everybody was taking it very seriously,” he told Variety.

“I would say being on set was safer [than] going home to my apartment, because everybody’s getting tested, everybody was healthy and was checked on such a frequent basis you knew that there was nobody carrying the disease,” Jensen added. “I’m being very cautious, and I would have felt comfortable hugging the crew members, just because I know that everybody was so diligently safe.”

Jared Padelecki dished that everyone was taking it very seriously, otherwise, “It would have been shutting down production and putting people out of work again, so everybody was more careful than they were required.”

“We all felt the importance. We weren’t going out on weekends,” he said.

The stars of Supernatural have finished filming the long-running series.

“#ThankYouSupernatural. You’ve changed my life in so many ways and you changed the world for the better,” Misha wrote. “Fight on.”

Jared and Jensen both shared long, heartfelt and emotional messages on their accounts. You might want to grab a tissue!

“Well, here goes… I write this as I head to my last day of #Supernatural. My last day with #SamWinchester. Obviously, my head is spinning and my emotions are stratospheric, but there’s still a bit of time left on the clock,” Jared wrote on Instagram. “Thank y’all SO MUCH for the incredible amount of love and support that’s been headed our way, in these final hours. It’s definitely been felt. I’ll check in soon, but, for now, #WeHaveWorkToDo #spnfamily”

“Woke up at 6am this morning. That alarm went off with a heavy tone. Today is the final day of a 15 year journey. One that has changed my life forever,” Jensen shared. “To those I have worked with on this journey and to those who have watched and supported…you will never understand my great appreciation for you. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t cover it. There just aren’t words.”

“I’m so grateful for these memories that I will carry with me forever. What a ride it has been. And what a run,” he added. “#spnfamilyforever here are a few shots from our final days…including today. I’ll try and send more later, but in true SPN form…we are in the middle of ‘nowhere’ and have zero service. Go figure. Stay tuned.”

The stars of Supernatural have started filming the series finale!

Cast and crew got back to work on the final episodes of the long-running series just over a week ago.

Now, stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have shared notes on starting the last episode.

“As I head out to the first day on my LAST season finale, I can’t help but be incredibly grateful for all that #Supernatural and the #SPNFamily mean to me. It’s been an incredible journey, to say the least. I, for one, am hoping that #SupernaturalNeverDies,” Jared wrote along with a selfie on Instagram.

“It’s gonna be a rough 2 weeks. @cw_supernatural #seriesfinale,” Jensen captioned a video on his account, to which co-star Misha Collins commented, “Don’t make me cry. Again.”

“So last night, we completed 326 episodes of Supernatural. At the very end of every one of those scripts are three words: ‘To be continued,’” Jensen says in his video.

“Today, we start episode 327, and at the very bottom of the very last page of this script, there are only two words,” he says before holding up the script that reads, “The end.”

“Happy Friday everybody,” Jensen emotionally added.

The final episodes of Supernatural will premiere on Thursday, October 8th.
