JJ Hawkins is making history!
The trans actor, who goes by he/him and they/them pronouns, is set to play the first ever transgender character on The CW’s Charmed, Deadline reports.
JJ will play the first transgender character on either iteration of the Charmed series. He has been cast in the “recurring role of Kevin, a transgender male college student who inspires one of the Charmed Ones to take on a very formidable opponent.”
“Tfw 2020 isn’t all bad news 💙ðŸ¤ðŸ’–,” he shared with the news on Instagram.
One of the show’s stars, Sarah Jeffery, shared her support by commenting, “!!!! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸”
JJ has previously appeared on multiple CBS series, including All Rise, NCIS, Criminal Minds and The Red Line.
