Lauren Jauregui is speaking out and using her platform for some education about the current situation between the United States and Iran.
Taking to social media over the weekend, the 23-year-old singer shared her thoughts and revealed her own fears before telling fans that they should pay attention to the situation.
“There is so much to say. I feel so much. I’m so tired and speak from a place of so much privilege. Watching us all do this to ourselves is so exhausting. Watching us all run around confused about why things happen and blaming a single man in charge of an alleged democracy,” she started, adding, “for what Imperialism has looked like since the dawn of America’s inception is exhausting. Watching everyone ignorantly or purposefully miss the connections and intersectionality between EVERYTHING that’s been going on is EXHAUSTING.”
Lauren adds, “I encourage you to read up on the history of the countries we joke about our country destroying. Familiarize yourself with the territory, the culture, the people, Persia. Learn before you’re so ready to shoot.”

Lauren Jauregui is looking back on all she’s learned in the past decade in her latest Instagram.
The 23-year-old singer is opening up about what the past ten years have taught her and what she hopes to accomplish in the next ten.
“I know society requires a farewell to the last year and a warm welcome to the beginning of this one but I feel warm all around and like every day is another towards where I’m going,” Lauren writes. “I loved 2019 because it taught me more than any year before. I loved this decade because at the age of 23, I can say I’ve seen and learned from the world and followed my heart.”
She continues, “At 13, I was envisioning this world I’m stepping into. It was a distant glimmer, but I always knew in my soul. I absolutely couldn’t have predicted the why’s or how’s or when’s, but I can say that this decade has taught me a lot about control and the fact that I really have none. I’ve done unimaginable things, fallen in and out of love, collected accolades, traveled the world, gone through dark depression and anxiety, lost myself and found myself a million times over.”
“…This next decade I know I will unlock and learn more about myself than I even thought I was capable of,” Lauren adds. “That’s the fun thing about being 23 and having lived as much life as I’ve been allowed and blessed with; I can see where I’ve been and look ahead knowing I have no idea where I’m going to go but still jump with full, open heart first into that terrifying unknown.”
