'Riverdale' Debuts New Cast Poster With New Series Regulars & First Photos Post Time Jump!

Riverdale just got a brand new poster!

We didn’t get much of new promotional material when season five started as the first few episodes were wrapping up the season four storyline.

Now, the new poster is out, and it features all of the stars – KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Vanessa Morgan, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott and Charles Melton – but it also features a couple of new series regulars, Drew Ray Tanner, who we of course have grown to love on the show as Fangs Fogarty, as well as Erinn Westbrook, who has joined the show as new character, Tabitha Tate.

In addition, now that the graduation episode has aired, we are getting our first look at the cast seven years into the future!

Here’s a synopsis of the first time jump episode: After spending seven years away from Riverdale, Archie returns to find the town is now under Hiram Lodge’s grip and on the verge of becoming a ghost town. When Toni catches him up on what’s been going on, Archie reaches out to the rest of the gang to return home.

Not Everyone Made It To Riverdale's Graduation Episode, Showrunner Reveals

Tonight’s the night – the Riverdale gang is graduating!

The all new episode is the final one before the series jumps forward seven years. This ep was originally meant to be the season six finale.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who wrote the episode, revealed that not all of the characters made to the episode.

“Today’s a big day in #Riverdale. As excited/nervous as I was for my own high school graduation waaaay too many years ago. Somehow, this one means more. Not all of our characters survived to make it to graduation. Not all of the actors we wanted to come back were able to for various reasons (including Covid). But so grateful to everyone in this picture. And to many more who aren’t in the picture, but we’ll be seeing soon. Next stop: Seven years in the future…🚀🎢📸👀💥☠️,” he shared on Instagram, where he’s been sharing tidbits.

“All the secrets will come out; all the tears will flow,” Roberto shared the day before.

“The gang finally graduates, tonight. 🎓 a very sentimental, emotional episode for everyone who has been on this Riverdale journey with us since day 1,” Lili Reinhart shared on her social media.

“Everything changes tonight. @thecwriverdale,” KJ Apa added.

If you missed the good news, it was just announced that Riverdale has already been picked up for another season, along with many other CW shows!

Lili Reinhart Reveals What Betty Cooper Is Doing After 'Riverdale' Time Jump

Lili Reinhart is giving us a taste of what to expect on Riverdale!

The 24-year-old actress went on A Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (January 12) and shared what Betty Cooper’s adult job is after the time jump.

“I’m not a teenager anymore, and my character Betty Cooper is working as an FBI trainee, which is very exciting,” Lili told Stephen. “It’s been really cool. It’s fun.”

If you missed it, be sure to check out the latest stills from the premiere episode, as well as the season trailer, which only covers what happens in the first three episodes.

She also revealed the meaning behind her poetry book’s title, “Swimming Lessons.”

“I thought of that title as I was falling asleep one night. I was kind of grasping at straws. My editor was telling me I had like one day left to turn in my title and I was like, ‘Gahhh!’” Lili said. “I really just… ‘Swimming Lessons’ came across my mind, and I was like does this work? Yeah, it works. It’s ‘Swimming Lessons,’ it’s kind of nostalgic. It’s something you do when you’re young and you’re learning and you’re trying to stay ‘afloat.’”
