Megan Nicole won’t be releasing the title track off her new EP until Monday — but JJJ has the exclusive first listen!
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter chatted with us about the track, saying, “I had the idea of writing a song about what my kind of party would be and the song started to develop from there.”
Megan adds that “‘My Kind of Party’ is an anthem for those nights you want to just stay inside, wear pajamas, and order a pizza.”
“I wanted the energy of the song to feel fun and carefree. I’m very excited to share new music and really hope people will enjoy singing along.”
And sing-along you WILL!

Megan Nicole is making 2018 even better because she has brand new music on the way!
The singer/actress announced earlier this week that a brand new EP is on the way called My Kind of Party — and the music is coming sooner than we thought, too.
“Yayayayayaya, I’m so excited to finally give you a date on music,” she shared on Instagram. “My new mini album ‘My Kind of Party’ is out Feb. 9th and you can pre-order it Jan. 22nd (also, you’ll hear the title track from the EP that day).”
That means, NEXT Monday we’ll have brand new Megan Nicole music! Yay!
It features Megan singing outside while surrounded by Christmas trees, wreaths, lights, holiday decorations, two elves who are full of surprises, and of course, snow!
Megan – rocking a sparkly silver crop top, silver jacket, and black beanie – puts both her smooth vocals and dancing skills on display in the video.
The Brooks Brothers Holiday Party benefited St Jude Children’s Research Hospital with 10% of the net proceeds from the event going to the program.
Guests were treated to an array of holiday-themed activities including photos with Santa, balloon art, caricatures, holiday cookie and ornament decorating, and a craft station where they could create greeting cards to send to St. Jude patients.
