Over the weekend, the musicians used their voices to support the T.J. Martell Foundation at their annual LA Family Day, which raises money for cancer research.
Sofia, Jordan and IRL all took the stage on Saturday afternoon (October 7) for some epic performances at the event hosted at the Grove in Los Angeles.
Not only did they all perform, but they also met with some awesome fans and helped some incredible young cancer survivors share their story.
By the end of the afternoon, tons of funds were raised for the T.J. Martell Foundation thanks to the event’s generous attendees and they can continue to work towards finding cures for cancer!

Speaking with Idolator later on, In Real Life opened up about what makes them different from the other boy bands out there.
“This boy band is really cool because going into the competition, we had a huge variety of people,” Brady says. “The band we wound up with has a huge variety of people.”
He adds, “We have a Spanish speaker, we have a rapper, Chance has this crazy high range, Drew‘s got the craziest voice I’ve ever heard. So we all kind of bring a different thing to the table, and I think our music is going to sound a lot different than what you think of when you think of boy bands.”
In Real Life are also pictured below at People’s Ones To Watch Party in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (October 4).
“I think for this generation, obviously the band that we all look up to is One Direction,” Michael said. “They were the biggest. They were known globally and they sold so many records and I think that their impact on this generation is something that we admire and we want to emulate with our music.”
“Not to mention the fact that they also came from reality TV,” Chance chimed in. “So we have a lot in common.”
“I feel like we are trying to be ourselves,” Brady clarified. “We’re not really trying to be like One Direction per se. But they are a very successful boy band. They make great music and they’re all really just nice guys in general. So I think that just them as people would be something to model after.”
