Fifth Harmony is working on their next amazing record and Dinah Hansen is dishing all about it in a new interview with Spin.
Along with her band mates Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke, she says this new album, 5h2, is going to be completely them.
“This is definitely another level for us. It’s a side of Fifth Harmony that no one’s really seen. In the beginning, we were super happy. Our first album was very jumpy. This time, we’re showing who Fifth Harmony really is behind closed doors,” Dinah shared. “We’re going with that kind of sound in a way that feels like a great transition for us.”
She continued, At the end of the day, we’ll have these little writing sessions in the studio. We’re writing [about] our own experiences about love and everything, stuff that’s actually what’s going on right now. We’re all 18, 19, 22, so a lot is going on in our lives. We’re just happy that we get to finally have a say now with what we want and the direction that we want. We’re hoping that the audience can tell.”
And that sound includes some island beat: “This lane we’re going with is kind of reggae-rhythmic and kind of urban. It finally includes our ethnicity – I’m Polynesian, we have a black girl, we’ve got Hispanics. We kind of got that island in us, that little flavor in there. We love including that because that’s what we are.”
Fifth Harmony blows the style game out of the water as they arrive at the 2015 MTV European Music Awards held at the Mediolanum Forum on Sunday (October 25) in Milan, Italy.
The ladies — Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei, Dinah Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke — kicked off the party with an explosive performance on the red carpet and sang all the way to the stage for the pre-show.
Fifth Harmony were joined at the show by MTV stars Jillian Rose Reed and Gregg Sulkin.

The ladies of Fifth Harmony heated up the red carpet as they arrives for Latina‘s “Hot List” Party held at The London West Hollywood on Tuesday night (October 6) in West Hollywood, Calif.
Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei, Dinah Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke were joined at the event by fellow singers Sofia Reyes and Sammi Sanchez.
Actors Chrissie Fit, Cody Saintgnue and Francia Raisa also stepped out for the annual event.

Fifth Harmony just posted this super cute pic from inside the recording studio on their Instagram.
The girls — Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei, Dinah Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke — put to rest any type of rumor that they were headed towards a break up.
“Positive vibes in the studio. So excited for round 2! We’re not goin nowhere ??????#5h2,” they captioned the pic.
“We’d be lying if we all said this is a picture perfect thing, like we all completely agreed on the album track list and what the sound and the music video treatment would be like, which usually happens in bands who grew up together. But for manufactured bands, it’s harder,” Camila shared with Latina magazine about an impending break up of the group — BUT, they’re not breaking up!

The 19-year-old Fifth Harmony singer teamed up with the Saving Our Daughters charity for its new initiative called “Saving Our Cinderellas,” which aims to break the cycle of bullying through involvement in arts and music programs in school.
“I’m extremely grateful to have been a part of the Saving Our Cinderellas organization,” Normani told JJJ “I not only left knowing that I inspired them but that they truly inspired me. I wanted to encourage them and help them understand that age doesn’t define what difference you can make in this world or the value that each of their voices hold.”
Normani talked to the girls about her career, gave them fun gift bags, and “promised that next time I came back we would play basketball and sing ‘No One’ by Alicia Keys.” Aw!
She added, “I told them not to fear whatever struggle they may have, because in the end, they are guaranteed to come out on top even stronger than they had before. I find beauty in the struggle and the journey in getting through it.”

The girls – Camila Cabello, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke – opened up to the glossy about a ton of topics, including boyfriends.
Camila on what she looks for in a future boyfriend: “I think it just needs to be a good person. Because I’m a good girl, I tend to fall for the bad boy persona, and it ends up biting me in the butt. They end up not knowing how to treat me, and I end up completely devastated. I just need to find someone who is a good person with good values and who is focused. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot friends outside the music industry, and I only have two outside of it. I’m a very big believer in tight and close circles. I don’t have a lot of friends, and I’m really picky about the people I surround myself with. I think that’s important. If it happened to be someone in the music industry, it would have to be someone who is completely in it for the music – not buying into any of the fame and disgusting stuff. There’s a lot of disgusting stuff. I’m just overwhelmed by it lately. There’s gross sh-t in the music industry.”
