The film journeys from the streets of New York City to the never-before-seen cosmic realms and “The You Seminar,†the fantastical place where we all discover our unique personalities.
Jamie lends his voice to Joe Gardner, a middle-school band teacher whose true passion is playing jazz. Tina plays 22, a soul-in-training who has an unexpected encounter with Joe when he accidentally finds his way to the “You Seminar.†Together, the two are going to find a way to get Joe back to Earth, making him think again about what it truly means to have soul.
The movie will feature original jazz music by Jon Batiste and an original score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, which will drift between the real and soul worlds. The film hits theaters on June 19, 2020.
Pixar just announced their next movie, following Onward - Soul!
Planned for next summer, here’s the movie’s tagline: “Ever wonder where your passion, your dreams and your interests come from? What is it that makes you… YOU?”
The movie will take “you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions.”
Soul will blast into theaters on June 19, 2020.

We have been counting down the days until the release of Incredibles 2 ever since the project was announced and now we know even more details!
The full cast of the film has been announced, along with character descriptions for all of the stars. Most of the major stars from the first film in the Disney/Pixar franchise are returning and there are some exciting additions as well.
The movie is set to hit theaters on June 15 and we seriously can’t wait!!!
There are just seven months left until the release of Incredibles 2 and Disney/Pixar just teased us with the first look at the highly anticipated movie!
The Incredibles is one of the most beloved films in the Pixar collection and we can’t wait to see the sequel, in which baby Jack-Jack’s powers will be unleashed.
Incredibles 2 is set to hit theaters everywhere on June 15, 2018.
Here is the official synopsis: “Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2″ – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.”
The companies made the announcements at the D23 Expo on Friday (July 14) in Anaheim, Calif.
Director Brad Bird revealed that Incredibles 2, the sequel to the 2004 movie, will be released on June 15, 2018.
This time around, the film will focus on Elastigirl as she travels around while her husband remains at home with baby Jack Jack (whose super power is his ability to multiply). Huck Milner will be voicing Dash.
Meanwhile, Toy Story 4 will be directed by Josh Cooley and is set to hit theaters on June 21, 2019.
Pixar also revealed new footage from Coco, a Day of the Dead-themed film directed by Lee Unkrich, which is set for a November 22 release date.
Pixar has paid tribute to Don after his passing on Thursday, with a touching post on social media from Toy Story‘s director John Lasseter.
“Don Rickles was a comic genius, and here at Pixar we were honored to also call him a friend. The wit, personality and incredible timing he brought to Mr. Potato Head lit up the character and made him an essential part of the Toy Story ensemble.”
“Even though Mr. Potato Head’s facial features fell off in every Toy Story movie, his heart never left him—that was because of Don. We will miss him tremendously.”
Mr. Potato Head may still appear in Toy Story 4, which is expected to debut in 2019.
