Catharina Amalia, the Princess of Orange gets in close with her family in this sweet pic from 2020 King’s Day with their daughters at the Huis ten Bosch Palace on Monday afternoon (April 27) in The Hague, Netherlands.
The 16-year-old Dutch crown princess and her sisters Princesses Alexia and Ariane and mother, Queen Maxima, helped her father, King Willem-Alexander celebrate his 53rd birthday at their royal residence.
While the big festivities had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, the royal family reunited with several other royals – including Princess Beatrix, Prince Constantijn, Princess Laurentien, and more – with video calls.
During the small event, Queen Maxima, Catharina-Amalia, Ariane and Alexia launched a digital free market, which is one of the traditions of the annual celebration.
The market supports KiKa, a foundation for research into childhood cancers.

The 15-year-old future Queen joined her parents Queen Maxima and father King Willem-Alexander, and sisters Princesses Alexia and Ariane.

During the photo call, King Willem-Alexander opened up about how Amalia would be a great queen of the country one day.
“She is a sensitive girl. Very sensitive to other people…she is very empathetic,” he shared. “In other words: she is perfect for it.”

The 15-year-old Dutch crown princess was spotted playing the game, along with sisters Princesses Alexia and Ariane during the King’s Day Celebration on Saturday afternoon (April 27) in Amersfoort, Netherlands.
The three young royals also posed with their parents, Queen Maxima and father King Willem-Alexander, at the annual event.
The annual King’s Day event celebrates the sovereign’s birthday with music, street parties, flea markets, fun fairs and much more.

The 15-year-old royal met up with parents Queen Maxima and father King Willem-Alexander, sisters Princesses Alexia and Ariane and her grandmother, Princess Beatrix.
The royal fam were also joined by the King’s brother, Prince Constantijn, his wife, Princess Laurentien and their children, Countess Eloise, Count Claus-Casimir, and Countess Leonore.
Amalia and her family have always headed to Lech for an annual getaway The royal family has holidayed in Lech every year since the end of the Second World War.
The winter photo call is one of two official shoots the family participates in, with the other is during the summer months.
Princess Catharina Amalia of the Netherlands is all smiles while arriving for the Jumping Amsterdam International Horse Show and Dressage World Cup held in Amsterdam over the weekend.
The 15-year-old heir to the throne was joined by her father, King Willem-Alexander, grandmother Princess Beatrix and cousin, Princess Margarita, for the event.

The crown princess is celebrating her 15th birthday today and the House of Orange just released her official birthday portrait, which is so gorgeous!
Shot by photographer Erwin Olaf, the image shows the princess in a royal a purple dress inside the Royal Palace Amsterdam.
Catharina-Amalia is the heir to the throne, which means she’ll take over as Queen of Netherlands when her father, King Willem-Alexander steps back.
