Rocky and Ross Lynch reunite with older brother Riker and Ellington Ratliff on stage for The Driver Era‘s set at 107.7 The End’s Summer Camp Festival held at Marymoor Park over the weekend in Redmond, Washington.
Just recently, Rocky opened up to Daily Shuffle magazine about the birth of the new music group.
“I think we were actually on a rooftop,” he shared with the mag. “It was a late night and we were just throwing ideas at each other on what we’d do next.”
“We didn’t have a name at the time and we didn’t really know where it was headed but that was the moment that really kick started everything.”
“The Driver Era is still only an idea,” Rocky adds. “We’ve barely breached the possibilities that I think we’re capable of.”
Moments after brothers Rocky and Ross Lynch announced that they were giving away their brand new song, “Afterglow”, for free, the website crashed!
“FINALLY and it’s FREE! We wanted to do something special for the fans, so we dropped this track just for you all,” the band wrote on Twitter, with a link to their website to grab the new track.
However, just 10 minutes later, the site was down – and it’s all because there was so much traffic on the site!
Ross and Rocky are working on getting the site back up again right now, so even more fans can enjoy their new song.

In a new interview with Galore, brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch opened up about their new music project and plans.
“There are a lot of songs we have coming that I’m really fond of,’ Ross says. “That’s really the strategy right now. I’m going to be in Vancouver filming for Sabrina, but we’re going to still be collaborating wirelessly.”
He adds, “The idea is to collect a whole bunch of these songs that we already have and finalize them. We’re going to release a bunch of singles and then eventually an album. We’ll be playing festivals, too.”
“I’d like to be a multi-format band where we find success in every single genre,” Rocky shared about the band, too. “So far, our single, definitely has that. We want to have a broad spectrum of music and a broad audience, and that’s the ultimate goal.”
Ross also revealed one person he would love to collaborate with, and we are totally here for it!
“I want to collaborate with Camila Cabello,” he said. “I’m just putting it out in the world because I feel like we have this amazing song that she would sound dope on.”
Ross Lynch blocks out the sun from his eyes at the start of The Driver Era‘s brand new music video for “Preacher Man”.
“It all kinda came really quickly,” Ross admits about the visual with Billboard mag. “When you’re supposed supply a song with visuals, you want it to make sense but you don’t want it ot be on the nose.”
He adds, “It was all kinda like a seamless process of how we got to that final product. It just kinda happened.”
Rocky agrees with his younger bro about how fast it all came together.
“It’s all been happening really fast. Up until this moment, we were kinda at a standstill,” he says. “We were kinda just brainstorming thinking how we wanted to approach The Driver Era, and everything just happened basically yesterday. I’m kinda like caught off guard a little, so I don’t know what to think of it yet, but it seems like people are liking it.”
