OlderThomas Doherty Thinks Everyone Secretly Wants to Play a Villain
Thomas Doherty is sharing how he really feels about portraying a villain!
The actor is known for his roles as Harry Hook in Disney’s Descendants 2 and as Sean in the British musical drama sitcom The Lodge.
When asked whether he prefers bringing a villain like Harry to life or someone who is more easy-going like Sean, Thomas told Wonderland Magazine, “Oh no, I much prefer playing Harry.”
“Villains are always so much more fun to play,” he continued, “and working with someone like [Descendants 2 director] Kenny [Ortega], he just lets you do your thing and explore the character.”
“The thing about playing villains is that I feel everyone has the propensity to act that way, they just don’t,” Thomas added. “So to be expressive that way in a controlled environment is so much fun. I love my job.”
